l have a news portal website.
traffic was going high in last months from 1000->2000->4000->6000->10000->15000 in months...
it was around 15.000 in last times....
but suddenly l lost the whole entire traffic in a day. after 3 at midnight there was around 130 online guests reading news in my site. than suddenly became 4 or 10 online. and its like this after this time. l am having around 500-1500 hits daily after that day.
how can be done? from 15.000 to 1000
my other news portals became same after that day.
did google banned my server ip 's ? if it would bann, l also cant get other traffic too isnt it?
some1 can explain me how can that be done pls?

What was the main source of traffic you had, organic traffic?

if its organic you need to constantly be doing seo aka backlinks to keep the rank if its paid mabey it just ran out i would assume its paid.

Assuming the competition just STOPPED with their linking, would it still fall?

If i were you i'll be going through Google Analytics reports to identify the main source of traffic. (I'll do that even before posting here.. :) ) If your main traffic source is a Link from a major site, that link might be no longer available.
