Seat Expiration time on images in wordpress

    Hi,

    I have a website in wordpress. I checked the page speed with Google Page Speed Tool, and as per the tool, expiration time is not set on the images.

    I am not a developer, so, can anyone suggest me how to set the expiration time on the images.

    Hi,

    I have pasted the code to the .htaccess file, but it does not seems to work for me. My site shows "500 internal error" after adding this code. Can you please let know where to place this code in the .htaccess file?

    I have added that code in .htaccess file and this time site is working fine, but still expiration is not set for the images.

    But thats the only way i know to set expiration. Make sure you included the image extension in the htaccess file

    Hmmm...I'v included the image extension in the .htaccess file, but still not working. Anyway, thanks for your help, I will keep trying to fix it and will let you know if found some other solution for the same. Thanks :)
