Making a high quality GIF

    Hello,

I'm trying to make a GIF for a header, I have the pictures there are .png and I've tried with a lot of available software like Photoshop and GIMP and also other programs but all have the same problem. Once I save the file as a GIF the pictures lose their quality, they have a lot of noise and don't look like the original photos.

What can I do to solve this problem ?

Why don't you just stick with the .png file?

Gif is a compressed file format so the quality will be little less compared to jpeg or png.

you may try this Photo Editor, it can improve your photos - adjust size, zoom, change and refine colors, sharpen objects shapes. Apply pre-made effects. Make your photos look perfect.

The problem with the GIF standard is that is was written over two decades ago by a company that is now bankrupt. It only supports 256 different colours per image, so when you've got a lot of colours animated it has to reduce it where it can.

Either make an animation using less images, or try another method like a still PNG, a still JPG, or if you absolutely need to then use a Flash file.

Best of luck to you, I hope you can get a good GIF image and not need Flash
