is it possible to host a site with dedicated ip on a shared hosting account ?

    I have got a few ssl cert and would like to use a few of theme !

    Can somebody suggest me a good hosting service provider where i can host my site with ssl ?


    is it possible to host a site with dedicated ip on a shared hosting account ?

    like on dreamhost / hostgator by buying a dedicated ip from them?

    You sure can, You'll just have to buy a dedicated i.p as you mentioned :)

    As for the sll, you will have to ask the admins to install it for you if you go for a shared hosting account.

    What are you're requirements anyway? diskspace, bandwidth, databases?

    Whatever webhosting provider you use!
    Most of them can provide you a dedicated IP for additional payment!
    $2-$5 normally!

    Just contact you web hosting provider for a dedicated IP.

    And yes you can get a dedicated IP on a shared account! :)

    Yes a dedicated IP address will usually cost you $2 or $3 per month.

    Yes you can asssign dedicated ip in a shared hosting, especially if you are using SSL Certificate

    you would need request for additional IP in shared hosting, by default you will not get it

    Its means, you have to ask your host to assign you a dedicated I.P
    by default you won't get a dedicated I.P if we talk about shared hosting
    also, you have to pay a little extra for dedicated I.P that differs from host to host

    You can buy a shared hosting and then purchase a dedicated IP, it will work for you. Specially when you want to use SSL, dedicated IP is an additional better thing, however the shared IP can also be used to have an SSL.

    After your site is setup on your hosting you can purchase SSL that you wish, or you can compare the SSL which one you should buy based on the volume and nature of your site.
