I don't understand why many peoples do not like to have sitemap including in their own sites. It would not hurt your sites at all. You should have sitemap regardless the number of pages on your site. Sometime the bot have no where to go or found some loopholes and sitemap could help the bot from being lost. Just my idea.
Sitemaps make it easier for Google to find and index all your website pages, it is another step that makes it easy for the Googlebot to crawl your site. The XML sitemap also lets you put priorties on the most important pages of your site.
Having read this entire thread seems sitemap can only benefit your site. I especially like the idea it can aid a lost bot. Certainly adding a site map to my site. Help out those bots
I think this is available for blogger blogs, they usually get indexed fast despite the fact they don't have a sitemap.
As you read a lot about site map, you know very well it is helpful to discover your page by googlebot . it also help to link from one page to another and linked to each other. I think site map is necessary but not essential.
Hi, Yups its true that if your website navigation structure is good and all page have links from each other pages then no need for sitemaps. Sitemaps are useful for large dynamic website which pages changes daily etc . I have heard many times that sitemaps help website to index pages quickly but its not true . To index your pages quickly or website you need to get reciprocal or one way link from higher PR website of same business and services . Sitemap only guide search engine bots to access hidden pages on your website etc . Regards, Najmi
Put it this way - it can never hurt, and considering it will only take 10 minutes of your time max, you should always include a sitemap.
It is not more important but if main thing if you confident about your site navigation .so you don't need any sitemap. but if you have little bit confused about so do.
yes its not necessary its important to better index your posts and pages better to put a sitemap than nothing
Well could be true, but st the end of the day, if google likes it, just do it.. Not like it takes any amount of time to do.. Plenty of generators out there, all you do is put ur url and it does everything for you.
Google Places offers an excellent way to put a business on the Web with little effort that yields excellent results. If you just starting a business, setting up a Places page is one of the first things that should be done. Using Google Places should not be passed up by any business wishing to be found. Not only because it is free, but because it stakes a business’ claim in Google’s directory.
