I'm wondering if this sandbox thing is actually a myth aswell? All the new websites I have ever released have hit the top pages of Google within a couple of weeks. I must say though that the domains that have the target keyword in the domain always go higher quicker!

type this on google "site:yourdomain.com" your domain appear on the result, but doesn't when you type your keyword that's mean you have got the sandbox.

but if the result like this "Your search - site:yourdomain.com - did not match any documents." its mean you've got banned.

i think sand box are for those whose websites are affected by panda updates. google try to puzzle webmaster by frequently change in serp, if google feels that web master stop building links then google consider it spam!
In short, it`s warning by google:)

There are 2 reasons for Google Sandbox.First is, Your site can get down in ranking of SERPs and second one is, Your website can out of the Ranking or SERPs with your targeted keywords.

You can't really check it except by analysing your search traffic.

if you start to update your site daily with unique and fresh contents then its very much possible to get out of sandbox very soon.
