The best success stories I've heard have been using patches that gradually slow down your smoking habits.

You can distract your attention by enjoying other things.
Such as enjoying a cup of hot tea.

    MY SMOKING CURE

I found the best way was to change my attitude.
If you walk around "Craving a smoke" or thinking you are a smoker you are reinforcing the habit.

Whether you truly believe it or not, you need to keep telling yourself how disgusting it is, how unhealthy it is, how much YOU stink when you smoke.
    How expensive it is ......

Never think, I wish I could have one.

One of the best things I figured out, we to place a notched cig. in a plastic film can, with a teaspoon of water, keep it in your pocket.
When you feel like smoke, pull it out and take a big whiff of the inside of that can, and realize that is what your breath, clothes and lungs smell like.

Keep telling yourself its disgusting, refuse to admit you want one.

And remember you are only physically addicted for a few days at most, after that its all about habit. Find something else to do, and for along time avoid "triggers" like drinking, or those things you do that make you want to smoke. Make new habits, your brain WILL GROW NEW PATHWAYS, in a few weeks and you will begin to start a healthier life, that you may get to spend more time with the ones you love.

I know that's not easy, i'm also smoker, i smoke for more than 15 years, smoke at least 20 per day.
Quit smoke really need a strong mind, it is hard to say just quit, suggest to get some replacement at the beginning stage like e-cigs
Then, reduce the smoke and quit it
I just quit smoke few months ago, now no more smoke

Hi, its very difficult to stop on your own. Perhaps you could join a stop smoking clinic or quit with a friend. If you go to clinic they will help you with aids such as patches and will monitor your progress and more importantly they will support you. Good luck hope it goes well.

Once you decide that you're ready to quit smoking forever, ask God to help you quit and he will.

I also quit smoking about 2 months but for me it was easy because I catch a cold and it kept me in bed for 2 weeks (in this time I did not smoke) and after that it was really simple I just denied that I need a cigarette.
