    I know it may sound impossible. But my recent website got indexed in Google within 2hrs!
    how could this have happened?

    In normal times it takes almost 2-3 days to get indexed in Google. I own a blog and i remember writing an article with a link. Not sure if this got indexed quickly!

    Same with my website in my signature, about 8 hours. Though what is remarkable is that yahoo indexed my site within 2 days.

    I remember when it used to take weeks for sites to get indexed. Now, even without much effort, a site can get indexed in a day or two. If you REALLY want to get indexed quickly just make a post at a social bookmarking site. (Digg, for example.) This should get your site indexed in less than a day.

    It usually takes about 10 minutes for my pages to get indexed. Mind you, I do FB and tweet the heck out of them to let everyone know its there.

    But unbeliveable is mine my blog is index in just less then 1 min or my alexa is not generated and i dn't have any backlinks but i dn't know how it's possible.

    Yes, there is nothing surprising, my blog also got indexed in hours and my each post get indexed in two or three minutes. Google is in always in search of fresh and new content.
