here is the crawling stats for the subdomain. from last 10 days, there is no activity of google crawler. you can see the stats image taken from wmt...
do you mean link wheel schemes? I think letting people know what google considers as black hat now days is probably more important than a lot of the basic seo questions that are asked. If you only have one site it can be fatal.
Hi tipoo, the visitor data looks very irregular. the data I get from my sites is always very similar. Can you tell me what helped you get the massive peaks on the shown days? Or was that the reason you got banned?
If your sub-domains are not related with the penalty then you don't need to worry. Google penalty is actually de-indexing. And after removal of the penalty the indexing works like you are working for a fresh site. So you need patience to go with the new beginging. Don't worry, take it as a lesson and give thanks to google that it has given you the scope to learn how you could get penalized and how you can remove it.
drop of the traffic and crawling starts from same day of penalty to all subdomains. and now, google dont like to index a single NEW page of my subdmoans... above crawling stats are for one of my subdomain. you can see there is no activity from last few days...
A manual penalty might only be removed in slow steps. So just wait and start working on your off page techniques. Hopefully your traffic will bounce back to normal!
As I said, the re-indexing works like index of new domain. So you need to keep patience mate. What is the domain?
Can you post me the contents of your .htaccess file by pm? Often malfuntioned .htaccess files too prevents the crawler.
Disallow: is the culprit. You have prevented al crawlers to crawl your site. Have a look here, for proper robots.txt configuration -> http://www.robotstxt.org/robotstxt.html
thank you very much for your kind reply. can any one tell me HOW MUCH (aprox) time it will take to came out.
By Disallow: parameter, you are blocking all the robots from crawling. Read the refered help properly. Clear instructions are given there.
thanks for your time to reply... there is no difference between Disallow: and Allow: / if i am wrong, pleas correct me.
These kind of things are always a waiting game. I guess you have done all you can and now the only thing you can do is just sit tight.
No you are not wrong. I was wrong and I am feeling shame for my crap post. What is your URL? Let me check your robots.txt myself.
