Two same web sites for two different cites

    Hi
    I wish to create two website with same content but different domains.
    Thing is that I don't want to duplicate them and have two different domains for exactly same site.
    I nwould like to do one web site will be for one city with domain(newcastlesomething) and another web site for second city (liverpoolsomething).
    Is this ok? Or will be my website banned?

    I have rather the same issue, though this thread probably belongs in the Search Engine area opposed to the Web Design area.

    The concept is to have similar sites, but with different domains. I've heard this hurts Search Engine rankings. The reasoning to do so is different geo-targeting. I'm personally looking to target several small cities with "splash" pages (keyword domains that forward on, but no cloaking).

    Can anyone point us in the right direction?

    Yes you can easily run 2 the same skins sites with different domains, just run them from different servers though, I run 2 sites with the same skin, but 1 site is for testing only, but if you want to run 2 skins the same with different domains it easy to do.

    It also depends on what you are running the skins on, vBulletin, Wordpress, ect, because with vBulletin you will need to have 2 licenses to run the 2 sites and so on.

    I use wordpress and vBulletin.

    The Website is my own site. The business is for one city and I would like to expand it to another city... that is way I am creating same site but with domain and headings for another city. Content will be exactly same.

    Same content will cause dupe content issues
    even similar content will be a waste of time
    you could create 2 sites with different content or use rel canonical tag to specify which one to rank etc
    but with the rel you will basically have a site that isnt really going to do any good in google etc
