CTR trouble!

    Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble with my ctr. I've implemented all the methods to optimize ctr such as placement above the fold and blending the ads with the content, i've also been experimenting a lot lately to no avail. Over the past few months it has been dropping and it is now pretty much close to rock bottom. My traffic has been increasing but due to the drop in ctr my earnings are pretty much staying constant.

I have a couple of questions:

-is this normal in the computer/internet niche?
-is there anything i can do to improve ctr any further?

Thanks for taking the time to read the thread.

People that are familiar with computers are usually familiar with internet/websites and ads as well, therefore are likely to click less. That is why your CTR may be decreasing. I recommend using different type of monetizing – affiliate marketing or selling your own products.

Well i tried an affiliate marketing campaign once by collecting emails and sending autoresponders but I didn't see any results. Thanks for your input.

This is a common problem for thousands of people especially in April(still same)

If you read official google adsense forum you can see many many many people concerning about huge CTR drop.
I also tried everything to increase the CTR but it is still low.

Now i decided to wait and see.

    Just waiting:confused:

I switched from blue colors to red color link titles, and my conversion increased about 5%

:D Now a day. There are too many blog around the world so people should understand what is an ad and what's the content. It's so hard to make them click now. 3 years ago my CTR is over %15 and now it's only %1 ... Same site and even more traffic
