Unfortunately I can't become stupid and be happy fuzzy special person like you . The drone strike was carried out to destroy a piece of Gaddafi's command system . The fact that he used his son's house as a location from witch to coordinate his forces made it a target , the death of the children is a unfortunate event but they are just collateral damage .

First you said give a good source, then you said not his whole family is killed and then you said that something must be done to stop gaddaffi. Qaddafi is giving the same excuse for civilian casualties. His forces are targeting rebels who are hiding between civilians. Civilians are just collateral damage. Why even bother going to UN for saving civilians when you are gonna do the same and give the same excuse as the other guy do.

 

There is clearly a difference between having a few civilians who happen to be working at a military installation, and surrounding your anti-aircraft batteries with women and children. Both cases will result in civilian casualties, though in the later situation, most would blame those civilian casualties on those hiding behind them. Hamas is famous for striking from behind civilians, and then arranging the bodies of the babies they helped kill for a photo op.

So when Israeli forces attack Hamas and civilians dies it Hamas' fault. But when Qaddafi forces attack to take down rebels and civilian dies its human right violation. But when UN backed NATO forices attack and civilians dies its collateral damage.

If you are blaming Humas for hiding behind civilians then you have to blame the Libyan rebels too.

If you are blaming Qaddafi for crushing armed rebellion and during that civilian dies then you have to blame Israel too.

 

I think that it rather usual thing when the family of any dictator is murdered bu the army. Just remember Stalin, Sadam and other 'guys'. Hope that Bin Laden kids and wife be in safe. But If I'm not mistaken he had a lot of kids and wifes as well.

To be fair, it looks like Qadhafi is not hiding behind civilians, but rather declaring every dead soldier to be a civillian, and then multiplying by 2 or 3. Either way it's BS.

Anyhow, my comment wasn't really about the Libyan conflict, so much as your bogus statement that all killing of civilians is equal. Obviously the rebels have to fight from somewhere, but time will tell if they are actively trying to shield themselves with civilians. It wouldn't at all surprise me, and if they are, they deserve the same fate as Hamas.

One thing is for certain. Indiscriminate shelling and mortar fire into city centers shows a disregard for civilian lives. From all appearances, this thing only became an armed rebellion when Qadhafi's troops started opening fire on peaceful protesters.
