I don't think you should call these USA directories. They look more like general directories using a common category dump. They are have identical categories.

For example, I checked alabamadirectory.us and none of the sites were specific to Alabama.

Well I did not understand what Exactly you mean but may be you are talking about The Sites listed in Directories is non usa,thats why you consider all these directory is non usa...if your are thinking in this way then you are very right...Why i am calling this is network of USA because if you want to rank your website in USA then you should submit your website in all these directory,why i am approving Non usa websites the reason is only because they are trying to rank there websites in USA.

For Example If Some one Running wallpaper Website and he want USA visitor then he should submit his website in usa web directories.

 

The problem is that your site will not help anyone rank in the USA any more than a regular general directory. In Google's eyes (and from a SEO perspective) they would exactly the same .

 

I like the strategy which is behind this idea and submitted my website. I will wait until I see approvals and after add some more sites.

There is likely SEO value in the domain name but Google is too smart to give a lot weight to a site just because they register a domain with a specific extension. There a many more factors.

Also, if you are going to quote a website as the source of your SEO knowledge you should pick one that is not a sales page designed to sell people domain names.

First off, I'm not trying to argue or anything - this is only my personal view...

I'm not an SEO expert, but I honestly view that the domain names (the state names and the US extension) have big potential - IF the listed websites are truly local.

Of course, some web site owners want their sites listed on all states - I also want my directorydaily.com to be listed on many directories, but I do have to agree with CanadianEh; what's the point of establishing local US directories, then? They are just the same as other general web directories, except the "localized" domain names.

Local US directories should list local websites. so for example, your florida-directory.us should only list - e.g. sellabusinessflorida.com, nba.com/magic (the Orlando Magic NBA team official site) or any other local sites.
