Some of you that follow my blog already know I quit my job to start my own Internet Marketing business, starting April 1, 2011. I blog daily summarizing exactly what I do and how much money I make. It's not much but after my first month working from home I made $452.86! For those of you who want the summary of what I did this month, here it is: Researched 20 niches to promote (10 using AdSense, 10 using Clickbank) Built all 20 niche sites (they don't look pretty, but they're up!) Began building some backlinks (directory submissions) for the niche sites, already have received over 500 long-tail searches from google!) launched some link building services, picked up 13 new clients and made $442 launched my blog where I blog daily about my activities In my first 30 days I made a total of - $10.86 from AdSense - $0.00 from Clickbank (I still need to fix up some of my niche sites to include the CB affiliate links and advertisements) - $442 from Backlink building services I started my business with the intention of providing services (such as backlink building) to generate eary cash flow and help finance the creation of my niche sites. So far it's working. Anyone else here jsut starting out full-time? How are you funding the growth of your business. For those that have already found success, any tips you care to offer??
Congratulations. Great to see the efforts you put in put something in your pocket. Though is ~$500 a month really going to be enough for you to live on long term, or are you expecting bigger results this coming month? I'm interested in the niche sites you've picked, as it appears this is where you're planning on pulling your money from. My main concern is you're using adsense for 10 of these sites, I'd be tempted to drop it back straight away to the the top 5 adsense earners from last month, sell the other 5, then rinse and repeat the new five, or find better paying affiliate offers for them. Again, conrgats on documenting it all, it's a big step for a lot of people to commit and then actually do the work without being demotivated.
That is great success! It takes some people years before they make their first money online, I know it took me around 1 year.
Congratulations! I'm glad you made some success. It's not often I hear legit stories of success. Your earnings are good however you can still earn more as your adsense and clickbank ones are pretty low. Keep building those backlinks and getting more traffic and report us back in 3 months. I have added you as a friend to keep track of you and your progress
I officially started working full-time in April and hit about $2k until now. I could probably make twice as much but I rather focus on building a passive income stream.
$500 is definately not enough to live on. As far as a business goes I was profitable in my first month. Most people have the illusion that this business you can start making BIG money overnight. Every month my goal is to improve on the prior month (for example, my 10 niches sites promoting CB products, I hope start getting decent traffic in May and I make a couple CB sales). Although everyone is looking for one, there is no "easy money" button to push. I have been reading and dabbling online for years. The nature of my old job was such that I could not devote any time to make this work. This is my passion and Im following it now! Thanks! I do blog daily, but will post here my monthly results at the end of May. I actually just checked my CB stats for yesterday and made my first CB sales $25! April 2010 I assume'?? Or april last month?? EIther way, congrats on hitting $2K/monthly income!
One thing that I would want to say is: It really demands courage to be able to quit the full time job you already have and get into something where you don't know the future. I appreciate your efforts and keep goin!
April 2011. $2k in 12 months would not be sufficient. I did work on projects in my spare time but really started full-time in April 2011.
Nice work. Just shows you with the right tools and the right mindset you can build a real business via the Internet. Keep up the good work! Look forward to updates.
Thats actually a good start in terms of money but the Adsense Revenue is a bit disappointing I should say.
Wow, did you start with existing websites? Or is that from sellign services? Either way $2K in your first month is awesome! congrats! Thanks! Actually it's not disappointing at all for having only launched the sites between 15 and 20 days ago with very limited back link building.
It's a good start - congrats! Services are always great cash flow makers. However, offering services, especially if you done them yourself, will always make you work-for-dollar. Your plan to make money to fund niche sites is the way to go for a start, IMO. If I'm allowed to make a suggestion or two, your next step would be to increase your dollar per hour worked - this can be achieved via passive income business model. You could outsource your link building services and try to automate things - this will reduce your income, but you have all the free time to probably start another service. Again - congrats!
Not only my financial future, but my health and happiness as well! Hopefully you learned something! If you have any questions ask them here. That's the plan my man! If you go to the BST section of any webmaster forum you will always find a common theme. Most of the service providers suck. This is bad for webmasters who want service, but great for new service providers who want to make a name for themselves as it is easy to stand out. Unfortunately, the good service providers don't stay cheap for very long as the deman for their services quickly increases beyond the time they have available. At this time I will begin outsourcing the tasks (as I will have developed the processes), and increase my $/hour. Eventually all my SEO services will be on my own properties and will not be offered publically (as it will be more profitable for me to rank my own sites then to rank others!). Go to the buy/sell/trade section of this forum. There are an endless number of servies being offered. Graphic design, programming, content creation, backlinks, banners, etc. I have started by providing back link services.
Wow thats crazy. I am about to start collage and I would love to skip that route if i knew how to make money online. I have made over 200$ in two weeks online but i had to work for that money. But ill keep up with you to see if i get inspired and learn more on my free time
Nice to see you made some money online. If I may ask how much wa you're expenses for the first month?
Good choice of offering services to start off with. Can I ask where you're getting your referrals from for your business. Digital point, Google advertising? It's just that I offer writing services and would be interested to know where you get your work from.
