hello people, when i publish an article on article directories after few months it is being syndicated to lots of automatic blogs. however few of them give a link back to my site or to the original article in the directory. so i wonder if there is anything i can do to make sure the link stay in the content and also can it hurt my sites? thank you very much.
In my article directory, I have a Page Publisher Guidelines who says: Reprint Policies If you would like to publish or re-print any article from Article King you must adhere to the following: Articles must be published “as is†and you must include the full Author Bio at the end of the article. URLs in the resource box shall remain linkable and no changes should be made to any anchored text or hyperlink...... When You post your articles, check forGuidelines like mine on directory where you post!
Bulram, that is very good BUT you are hoping that people who scape your copy will be honest and obey the reprint policy, in our experience around 90% dont! So what we do, is write a nice comment in their comment box below the article along the lines of below: "Thank you for stealing our content, it states on the article direcotry that you stole the content from that use was only allowed with the bio attached in full. Either add the bio or remove the content you have stolen from us Regards, Name <a href domain > keyword </a> Normally this does get a response through the email we use...
Autoblogs don't generally provide you a backlink. They use their link juice for boosting their own sites. Your best option is to write in such a way that reprinted versions of your articles do you some good even if the link is omitted.
not without it taking hours of our time and to be honest, the scum that scape your content will never be traced...at least our way we get a link back
With the Panda update, Google has become quite receptive to scraped content complaints. If one of these sites is ranking higher than your own content, you can provide the offending sites data. If they are not a threat to your SERP position is not threatened, reporting these scraper site is probably not a productive way to spend your time. Every day, more and more of these sites are disappearing from the search results.
The Panda update has caused quite a stir on the web with many webmasters seeing their rankings change significantly for the worse and their traffic plummet to all time lows. Understandably, most of the affected webmasters are thinking “Why me Google?â€. Ensure any new copy that you add to your site is both original and relevant. Scan your site for unoriginal/scraped content and update or remove this content. Keep an eye on bounce rates and other user data usage indicators to decide which pages need attention. Ensure you do not have duplicate pages or content on your site or sites. Don’t rely on ghost writing or lists of information taken from other sites- Google is getting smarter with every update!
