Please help me pick a domain for my website

I already have one domain - bestwebdesignservices.net, but many guys told me that it is not so good to develop a website on it (too long, pretty hard to memorise, .net instead .com, too spammy looking, etc.). The only good thing about it is that it includes 2 keywords - each having over 12k exact searches per month - "best web design" and "web design services".
So, my question is: should a shorter (around 14-18 letters), .com domain be better, if it won't include any other keyword than "web design" (which is highly competitive, by the way)? I mean, for example, should be better spicywebdesign.com than bestwebdesignservices.net? What do you think, guys? Please help me...

In my opinion spicywebdesing sounds much better than the first. Keep in mind that no matter what name you come up with you will have a zillion competing sites with the same competing keywords. You have the word webdesign in it ( although its two words ) they are incredibly competitive and generic.

bestwebdesignservices is very "try hard". Consider using your surname, city etc.

thewebdesign.com is already taken. I'm interested only in free domains, and spicywebdesign.com was given just as an exemple, being already taken by someonelse, too... So, I need an answer to the question: which is better - a short, brandable .com domain name, but with an impossible to rank keyword ("web design" in my case) or a longer, .net domain, but full of keywords (more specific than "web design", like "best web design" and "web design services") easier to rank with...?

This is what I'm afraid most - "webdesign" is a highly competitive keyword, that's why I found more specific keywords as an alternative, but unfortunately, the domain (bestwebdesignservices.net) is too long... Very tough choice in my opinion... Any other views?

You are going to be in a very competitive market if you want to reach top position for web design services. Do some keyword research, and promote your site under other terms similar to it.

You shouldn't depend on SEO for web design unless you have a very specific niche. You're going to have to get out there and market yourself.
Choose something that sounds appropriate and fits you as an artist.

The others are right. Whichever way you look at it, it is a highly competitive niche. If you think that your current .net domain with its keywords could help you rank better in the search engines, keep it. Even if it is long, it can still bring in traffic.
At the same time, if the slightly extra cost is not a problem, there is nothing to stop you from getting a second domain, maybe something shorter, a .com name, easy to remember or for branding purposes. Then link the other one to to your main name.

i will suggest you go with spicywebdesign.com . best+web+design+services, wasn't that too long ? It even need to take time to study your domain name.
Mostly people will look at your domain and your meta header which most near their search keywords and not the long keywords that people search for.
