Hi friends. i have doubt the page rank. Page rank is giving priority to website. Right? (means faster indexing the url?) My site has 0 page rank.(but i have more than 1200 backlinks and showing 22000 backlink in webmaster also). My post is indexed within 1 minute. here is my doubt. Eventhough my page rank is 0,my post getting indexed within 1 minute. then what is the use of Page rank?
Actually page rank is a rank given by google to your website pages according to the content, design, visiblity by users, visits, traffic, back-link, quality of back-link and mush more... Your post is indexed in 1 min that is fine but there is no relation in page indexing and pagerank.. Hope you have got your answer..
Pagerank has nothing do to with content, design, user behavior, etc. It is squarely a factor of incoming links. It is one of the most important ranking factors (see my post in this thread for more information: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2164690). Your site is NOT PR0. PR0 is only what Google shows you. Every single page that Google indexed has Pagerank >0 (unless Google removed it manually). The problem is, the publicly available PR data by Google are outdated, usually by several months. That's what confuses people into thinking that Pagerank doesn't matter, which is exactly what Google wants you to believe.
thanks a lot to share this information post..... buddies.... i am will to know more about page rank. How to i get page rank to my site provide me some good tips.....
Page rank is not only depending on the back links, so consider your all web site content & victors through the back links and consider the back links is having the good pr or not etc...
Page Rank is a rank given by Google to your website pages according to your backlink if you have high PR relevant link then sure your PR will increase but we can't ignore importance of the content, design and site traffic.
There is the difference..Your post is indexed in 1 mint has no relation with the PR of page.PR is given by Google.
That's because PR doesn't get updated every day, but more like 4 times a year. And even if you do get PR1, that is useless because it won't help you at ranking higher. It does feel nice to see a high PR score for your site though. PR depends only on backlinks and not design, content etc.
PR has nothing to do with page indexing. But I think, the higher your PR is, the better. It's a reflection of your page's quality. And what really matters is how you rank in Google.
According to open information PR based on quantity of links to a particular site. But we can judge site by others rating: design, article quality and so on. As I understand it is final rating of site which should be numerical. So - is page rank cumulative rating or only links rating?
Some years ago Page Rank was very important, it used to signify reputation and importance of your website for users. Websites with good quality of backlinks used to have high PR. But now things are changed now, Google is less concerned with Page Rank... PR has nothing to do with fast indexing. You pages will get index when Google discover your pages on the Internet.
The page rank is given by google when google update. Back links depend upon the contents and quality back links.
Well Page Rank STILL makes a hell lot of difference today - it's a pity that only THOSE who don't seem to get a hold of it, say that it has no value! I'd say if you get a PR6 to your homepage and then say the same thing perhaps it'd make sense! And, as far as question is concerned, it's already answered - it may be indexed in 1min, but that's not PR! But, if the crawl cycle of your site is v.quick then you might see your inner pages getting a PR0 within 24hrs even with few bookmarking links alone! (it happens with my blogs!)
If your are talking about the PR that shows from toolbar, that's totally useless at all. I found it something not even worth looking for. It is definitely true that indexing and Pagerank was totally two different things. It doesn't matter how high your PR is, it won't affect the time of indexing your page. However, PR is purely affected ONLY with links alone.
Indexing and PR are not related. You can have a PR0 site and updates be indexed under a minute (e.g., if you ping other sites when you post an article). A good PR is obviously interesting (usually with a higher PR you will score higher in the Google SERPs), but not decisive. You can increase your PR by getting quality links. A few good quality links can do far more for your PR than thousands of low-quality links.
