How to optimize news related sites..

i have few newspaper site and i m working as a seo for news and media sites.. that updated daily and is in regional language so can you please suggest me how can i optimize these sites.. ?

There are lot of activities which we can apply in local marketing .

 

You need to build up many quality backlinks. You can do this by posting on forums with a news related niche.

 

News is based souly on trends so it can be difficult to rank a News site with many of the keywords constantly changing. So what I would do is find the main keywords that will be more difficult to rank for first. These keywords probably won't change too much and they are going to be regional words (these will take time to rank for). Then have a few different social sites you use to ping and push links to the constant fresh content created on the news site. Without constant fresh content on your site it will be difficult to get any traction. Also...you must remember your title tags are extremely important...make sure your kw is pushed to the front of the title and then ping the page with the keyword from the social sites.

Create news sitemap, and rss feed for news update. Proper internal linking. and common on page optimization will be enough to optimiza news site

Their is not any different way of this simply like all niche ,choose good keywords related to site ,do on page optimization and go for link building.

 

Make sure your sites on local listing and business news sites. And be active on social activities websites to perform your website

 

news sites are seo optimized by nature because they are updated every day and having original content. they may have very high ranking with little backlinks

Now your website looks great visually so congratulations for that but you obviously have limited SEO knowledge (the give away is putting the domain name in the title tag and at the beginning of the description meta tag).

So in your case I would look to hire someone who does know SEO BUT that wouldn't be me! You should look for someone who knows SEO and whose native language is that of your websites.

Start with on page-optimization , do blog comment in relevant blog, niche directory and article submission, Two and three way link with relevant site and blog. You should also do some marketing and advertisement in popular site such as Facebook, Twitter, Stumble upon, Digg etc

 

Try to list your sites in some local classifieds, directories, business directories and optimize your website in a good manner. Make your website design more user friendly, update with good quality data as soon as possible. And do some relevant forum submission, social bookmarking etc.
