Yeah i have tried IE7 and i liked it too but its a bit heavy on my system so i uninstalled it. I have both IE6 and Firefox Installed. I use IE6 as i found it more stable than firefox.

Funny thing is though, I didn't change any of the configuration when I installed it....

Last night I changed the security level to the lowest it has, and everything seems normal again.

I've had no problems with IE7 at all. It does its job nicely.

I'm glad so many of you like Firefox - good for you. I just wish you'd stop knocking IE7. With automatic upgrades from IE6 coming soon, most non-techies will be using it. For many people it will be their first experience with tabbed browsing and RSS, and they are going to love it. You'll be hard pressed trying to convert them to Firefox.

HA, IE7 just crashed. The first of many I presume.

The "File Edit View Favs Tools etc" disappeared, couldn't right click, no tabs, and then it just froze up my entire system [P4 3.4, 1.5GB RAM]......

    Well i didn't find much diffrence between IE 7 & IE 7 RC1...
But if you are using IE7 beta 1 or 2 than IE 7 is defnitly better...

But as for the best browser, Firefox-2 rules...and Flock is also picking up very fast...

It is a bit fast relative to firefox, and its bookmarking features is the best.
while adding the bookmarks you can add your bookmarks automatically to webaistes like del.icio.us

Then blogging & uploading pics to flicker & photobuckets is integrated inside flock.

And the integrated feed reader of flock is also very good...

Well you can do all this with firefox by installing diffrent extensions, but these things are inbuilt inside flock, which makes it a next gen browser ready for Web 2.0

So basically what i this is that Flock is the best browser for Web devlopers & bloggers:)

I downloaded it because other people who use this pc use Ie so i assume ie7 is alot safer so i updated ie to 7 for them and me really since i hate having to get rid of spyware and trojans.

I like how it runs and how its set up, but its still IE and for that reason I will always be hating on it. Besides I love my firefox :)

IE7 on windows vista is even more annoying. You can't go anywhere on the web without it popping up alot of crap that you have to okay every single time. I know its one thing to be secure, but they made it very annoying. Atleast in RC1.

Nobody here is trying to convert anybody. This thread asked if we tried IE7, so we are responding and giving our arguments about our response (favorable or not). For example, me and other posters are telling why don't like IE 7 and still prefer FF. That's only a opinion. We are not trying to convince anyone.

good point. it might work well for some and not for others.

I like seeing the differences of OPINION and experiences, that way we can be aware of pro's/con's to both browsers.

for instance I love FF > IE any day of the week but for some reason my FF on my Laptop is a massive resource hog, 300MB at times...not sure why but I doubt I'd ever encounter that with IE

Layout is a bit too full on, but I still prefer it to Firefox. I don't know why but I've just never been able to get used to firefox :S

it took me some time to get used to Firefox but after my brother put me on to Mozilla 5 years ago that is all have used as my main browser. the new IE7 is a vast improvement over the last but will not keep up with the open source speed of adaptation. hell, some of their add-ons for IE7 cost money, not with FF.

I have a legal copy of Windows and was not able to download from Microsoft, even though I bought my OS directly from them:mad:

Guess I will stick with IE 5...
