    For some of my niche sites, directory submissions have been my ONLY backlinks that I needed to get organic search traffic. Not the strongest backlinks, but they are cheap and definately still have some benefit.

    Hi can any one plz explain that how can we find a suitable category for our website to submit to a directory..like i mean whats the good and easy way to submit our website to the category where it belongs..how can we find an appropriate category bcz most of the people who r new dont know this as well that how to find the specific category to submit their site ..they just do it on the main page or in a wrong category
    can any one plz explain this

    By directory submission you can't get very valuable links, but you can get a lot of links with focused anchor text.

    Tips:
    - use a variation of 2-3 (but no more) keyword phrases in title
    - don't submit your site in directories that accepts sites from "adult" category (stay away from bad neighborhood)
    - use a semi automated software for submission
    - don't submit your site in too many directories
    - be patient..you'll probably see effects in weeks or months

    We are using directories for getting back inks and only back links in bulk for our website or blog.Because directories work as a feed for search engines.
