PR zero ? can i still find link partners

i have a website whose PR is zero (even though it is linked to thousands of pages related to same niche) here are my questions .
    1. why does not PR of my site improves if its link popularity is like over 2000 pages on same niche
    2. is there any use to send link exchange requests to other peoples even if my PR is zero ?

Ideally it should not matter if you get quality visitors to your site. But it is also a fact that a lot of webmasters are actually blinded by the PR factor.

PR is a quick indication of how good a site is. Most webmasters lack time and will NOT waste time looking up other factors in your site. Hence a quick glance at PR is all that usually is accounted for to make a decision. If you want to convince them otherwise, then do so ;)

PR is something like a little gift..High PR looks great and thats all :p Your site can have pr0 and be 1st in SERPS.. You can ask Yourself..what is Your target ...get PR10 or be 1st in SERPS ;)
    I choose 1st in SERPS ;)

Yes of course. If your website is a good one, and it will be useful to users of other websites, I think some webmasters will be interested.

Rightly said, its a matter of utility of your site that will gain you new Links and Visitors as well!

No doubt that the PR factor is important, but if your site has Good Information it'll definately attract related Links and Visitors as well!

You said "though it is linked to thousands of pages". Do you mean your site links out to thousands of pages or that thousands of pages link to your site? Big difference.

As said above, you can buy links or offer more to even out the deal. Like if you find a pr4 site that you want a link from, offer them a sitewide link on your site for just one link on there's.

I think you could get some exchanges with a PR0 site. Maybe not from high PR sites, but from PR2-PR3 sites. My site is a PR4 and I would still link to a PR0 site if I felt the content was good and it had potential. Every site has to start somewhere. Just don't shoot too high, like sending requests to sites that are PR5 or higher.:D

In the meantime, submit your site to lots and lots of free directories. That will help increase your PR for the next update.

Exactly - work this part of the link building formula before you start to worry too much about other strategies. Of course, also work on making your site WORTH linking to!

It usually takes a few months to get any PR out of Google anyway. How old is your site?

Also mention how many links you have and suggest you will certainly have pagerank soon. You will get more link partners this way.

Don't worry about trading links right now. Submit your site to high PR directories, and build up your PR. Once you have built it up your site will be more appealing.

    PR is not everything.
If you have a good visitor status then i can exchange a pr2 link with you.
I wonder why people care too much about pr.
