Yes it is worth. SEO wise, you can achieve all that thesis offers using one of the free plugins like AIO SEO Pack or Yoast Wordpress SEO, but the extent to which Thesis can be customized is endless.
I personally dont completely agree with the Thesis. It is an awesome theme with some great features like SEO integrations, usage of Hoooks etc and can do magic if used very well, you could import you AIOSEOP settings to thesis etc. My personal opinion is that it is another well developed theme and framework but if you know how your wordpress CMS works and have the right plugins, its not required to purchase a theme alone for that. Wordpress itself is very search engine friendly. The product gives really good affiliate commission and that could be one reason it is promoted well. PS: This is my personal opinion and please, no offense. warm regards Josh
I totally hear you. Hey, what are the right plug-ins? specifically for SEO. What are your thoughts on HeadSpace vs AIOSEOP?
Thesis is the Best Wordpress SEO Theme i have ever seen!!! Though i can not afford it right now, still I can vouch that it is the best theme. I have seen a lot of blogs Use it!!! And also, when you are using the thesis theme, you actually do not need to use a variety of plugins.. Like you do not need to use the SEO Plugin or Post image/thumbnail plugin! Its already there in Thesis!
Hello.. Plugins specifically for SEO I prefer AIOSEOP. Headspace, platinum seo etc all does the same in a broader view, some plugins auto suggest titles and keywords. AIOSEOP works well for me. Another SEO plugin i use is SEOpressor that works like a charm. Basically to be on top of SEO: 1. Do good keyword research before posting. 2. Use canonical permalinks structure that is URL friendly. 3. Have AIOSEOP or alternative 4. Do off page link backs. 5. Have a XML sitemap for your blog. 6. Use Google webmasters tool to upload sitemap and track search query trends. Either use SEOpressor if you can afford else, manually take care by: 1. having right Keyword density 2. Use atleast one image with the ALT tag of the targeted keyword. 3. Use H1, H2 or H3 tags for headings 4. Try to use the keyword in first or last sentences of your post 5. interlink your blog articles Hope this has helped you, let me know if you want to know more about all these.. cheers, Josh
Hi. I haven't really tried using these theme on my sites but I seen a lot of well-established blogs and sites using these theme as well as promoting it. Guess they really work, but let us also not forget a lot of other factors when it comes to SEO.
It's awesome theme.. you need to use it before judging the quality. The options and SEO is great. I believe its also user friendly when it comes to changing layout of your blog or adding widgets.
Hi, I have heard about thesis and wanted to get it but am really scared of the learning curve , how code savvy does one have to be to use thesis theme. Also is the $90 for a developer liscence? Thanks
@Cathy Shelver - The theme is quite easy to edit if you know CSS. Also, It is $87 for a single domain License (+one local development server license) and Developer license is for $164. Check it up on diythemes website!
sorry guys but I don't understand very well what thesis is about. Is it just plugin? Can I use Thesis and install some theme I like? Because they do not have any themes in their website. So does it mean, that I have to set all the design myself? In some of the tabs?
Hey Lentak, From what I understand, Thesis theme is a highly customizable and seo friendly wordpress theme. I see a lot of big marketers and celebrities alike using Thesis, so there must me some truth to its effectiveness.
