I'm willing to pay $ or $$ to someone who can help me solve the following problem with my new WordPress blog. I just started a new site www.CashMoneyWorld.com I'm going to blog about ways to make money online. The person who set it up for me also set up a rss feed to help with content. I don't get it though! I thought you would click on the titles on the index page to read the whole story/article. But when I click the titles... I'm still just seeing the intro... For example.... when I click the 1st one 3 Big Dangers Of Working For Yourself If you’re falling for ANY of these 3 dangers, your business is slowly dying and you don’t even know it. ...it just says the same thing again on the inside page... no story or article about the three dangers. Is that right? or should I be seeing the whole article inside? There's not even a way to read the article. I don't get the point of having these headlines with no way to read the article. Am I missing something?
I don't know. I See what you are saying, I tried to look at and comment on a post and just got the title.
did you write those article or the guy who set the wordpress up made them ? because they are only few lines even in the topic it self . if you want pm me your blog info and i'll try 2 check it out from the wordpress theme .
He said the articles were being pulled from somewhere? I'm happy to use any articles about making money online right now... These just aren't working... and I'm not sure what to do next. Replies sent to both of you... Thanks for helping!
there is nothing wrong ... it's just that the article that you are getting from are not full .. they are only 3-5 lines articles ...
Can you help me set up the RSS feed so that I am getting full articles about making money online? What would be the cost for that? Thanks! Paula S
the rss feed doesnt work that way, it is a feed FROM your site not TO your site. I just checked you blog, you are getting the hang of it keep going hehe and then we will set up the rss feed
I understand fully what your problem is - I can help you fix it if you allow me admin access to your wordpress administration area - the problem is, if you want to view full articles, it will display the entire full article on the original site. Random : OMG it's 9/11!
PaulaSmiles, what you have setup is an automated blog with content postings from rss feed. since what you are getting in the posts is nothing more than what the source feeds allow, you need to modify/change your source rss feeds so that you get complete content on your blog. )
Thank you everyone! You were right... My RSS source was only allowing partial articles. I needed to change to different feeds which displayed full articles. Commandos set that up for me. Thank you! Thanks also to seoluv, megaforce, one dollar, and others who sent PMs with helpful advice. Payment sent to commandos. Green square tallies left for others who helped! Paula S
i am getting this from your feed now,,, pls check tks XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </ADMINNICENAME>. Location: http://cashmoneyworld.com/feed/ Line Number 38, Column 32: <dc:creator><ADMINNICENAME></dc:creator> ---------------------------------------------^
and it no longer passes validation http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.cashmoneyworld.com/ plus you need to configure an author hehe
Wow.. I found this post this is exactly what is happening to me. Where can I find Free (or paid) RSS feeds for my site that will display the FULL story, not just a couple of lines??? Right now I have some FREE rss feeds, and I finally got one that displays the full story.. except it has about 20 lines of credits at the bottom (exaggerating but they are ugly) Hopefully someone can help me out with this
FanAddict, you can probably set it so you can view the entire article, but in the site of the source.
no she can't set it , all depend on the rss source , if the rss contain all info she will be able to see all the article ...
The problem with posting full stories is that they are not yours to post. Even though RSS is made to transfer the data, and the fact that some people leave full posts in their feed, you can't just blindly add them to your blog. Well you can I guess, but don't be surprised if you get some heated emails and legal threats.
