    Here we go again...

So today some dummy posts this thread:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2159695

He's trying to sell a FREE link for $100.

I post the link for FREE... why?

BECAUSE ITS PUBLICALLY AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE! DUH!

    So guess what happens?

I get an infraction for "Thread Hijacking". Hmm...

So helping members not get ripped by some guy in India is thread hijacking?

    Give me a break...

Well , In my humble opinion mods did the best in this case :)

Do you really want to help people in finding free vouchers ? So go to the "Cheap Stuffs" section and open a thread then share the mentioned link with them ;) The is the best and of course the "correct" way .

Moderators act on reports and what is put in front of them in posts. They don't know a lot of background information on the subject, nor do they have to time to search for it, so they are dealing solely on what they've been told. Stop moaning about it. You deserve it, stop crying about it and man up a bit. :)

    Are you a mod?

You also seem to say that I can start reporting nonsense and they will act on it because they don't actually check out the complaints? LOL... wow, thats great. Good service here.

Like I said... I was simply trying to save someone of being ripped off by the guy so I posted the link for free.

I am a Moderator in my own respect, I report enough posts to be one lol. Just chill. They do check out the complaints. But they don't exactly spend half an hour on each one. If they see a viable rule break, they act on it. If they don't, they delete the report and move on to the next.

Your best option if you think the member where you posted was making an attempt to scam members here would be to report the thread yourself though no? instead of replying (no clue as to what you replied to result in an infraction). And then the staff can determine from your report if he is indeed taking advantage by attempting to sell a product or service that is widely available for free. .. Chances are the thread op reported your reply as it would most definatly have a negative effect on his sales in his thread. Next time just report the person and you wont get an infraction, kinda simple
