    My sites haven't lost ranking ater the farmer update and I think it is because I write my own articles, only use original content and make sure it's all proof-read before adding it.

    I like the "Panda" bear. :) I'm discovering many new, more useful sites in the results pages; my own pages are ranking higher, too. Here's why:
    -- When writing sales copy for my clients, I have *always* encouraged them to buy more words on the page. I've always used 300+ as an SEO best practice.
    -- On my own blog, almost every post is 1,000+ words.

    Great post I like this and also totally agree with you coz many folks thinks that they are smarter than google algorithum or they can easily mislead google by using blackhat techniques but sooner or later they being caught and then banned.

    So for the shake and success of site one should go as per rules and regulation of google and thus one have to do that only what google like and suggest and you will be easily and respectfully placed at top.
