It will be implemented once I can get enough feedback from everyone to decide if it is best to lower rates and have it for all countries, or keep rates and have different tiers.

You are right, however, unfortunately it is very tough running a company like this by yourself, and am left with very little time to look at the small things, this was under-looked and I apologize.

I Can say you 1 thing i dont want good affilate program plan , just what i want is trusted site With good speeds for uploaders as well as downloaders & if u keep 20 $/ 1000 downloads also u will be succesfull if u give exact payments on time & exact download counts with out ip restriction . It will be very nice .

& Exaplain the uploaders exactly what u want to do & that what ur site rank can be improved & premium accounts too.

Better try other theme for the site , that will give intrest to uploaders & Downloaders etc .

 

Yes, please change the site theme to something simple, also no need to show payment proofs on main page etc as premium buyers do not want to see such things.

 

Hmm what do you guys not like with the theme? I enjoy it and think it is pleasant but that is just my opinion, Unfortunately I cannot change the theme right away, due to costs and low funds at the moment, however I will definitely look for a designer in the mean time and start developing a new theme. I can assure everyone that payments will be made on time.

Payment proof has been removed and will not be added again. I am also looking into creating a new theme. It would be very helpful if you guys could describe what kind of theme you guys are looking for? Such as colors and other things.

Hi,

Check out filesonic.com, filefactory.com etc white background themes, its more pleasing than black one's. Also try to reduce as much graphic contents, flash objects as it creates problems when viewing through slow speed internet connection, low end pc's. handheld devices etc.

Your affiliate page http://sharedragon.com/?op=affiliate is filled with large font, irregular word's etc ex: $xxx's, please edit this page with only relevant contents.

Also try to include free url leech, ftp features as these are very important from affiliates point of view. Also include PPS plans like 60% of every sale made etc.

Couple of questions ...
1) What is the max filesize that a free user can download ?
2) If the max file size a premium member can upload is 600Mb, how can anyone earn the top rate - ie for 700Mb files and above ?
3) 'ShareDragon doe`s not count bulk downloads, only unique downloads will be counted' - what exactly does this mean ?

Couple of comments ...
1) 'You must upload files regularly to maintain your Affiliate status!' - that is a bad move in my opinion because 1) no one wants to become a slave to any file host, and 2) it's just so vague - it could mean anything and will certainly mean different things to different people.

2) The group c & d rates are pretty poor really - I know from experience that a good proportion of downloads come from those countries, and if I where to move to SD from my current preferred filehost (filesonic) my earnings would go down considerably because of this.
The thing is ... if you want to attract affiliates away from other established hosts you really need to be offering something very attractive, and from what I can see there's just nothing that would make me want to jump ship. It's not that your site/model is bad, just nothing new or fresh or exciting. If you went ahead and flattened the country groups, and pay a flat rate of $25/1000 for all countries then you would have something genuinely new and exciting, and much more attractive for sure. Incidentally I think your 'theme' looks fine

Thank you for the feedback and for giving me your opinion I appreciate it. I have looked at allot of other file share sites, and did notice that they are all white backgrounds with light colors and very simple designs. When I was designing Shareragon, I wanted it to be different, and easily differentiated from the other file sites. So I decided to go with a darker theme and use a two column layout and use different styles. I like to be different, I find that making everything the same is boring. I am in the works of creating a new layout using all the feedback that I have gotten to make something that everyone will like. As to your comment about flash objects, I do not see anything made with flash, maybe I am misunderstood and you could further enlighten me on that subject in more detail.
Remote URL is free for registered members and premium as well and we do offer a 50% affiliate plan where members make 50% off all premium membership sales, although I did realize that it is not really visible.

1) An unregistered user may download unlimited, no restrictions on what members may download, only on what they can upload.
2) Our file limit changed along with our rates instead of getting payed 25$ per 2gig files it is now 25 per 600 mb file.
3) It means that if the same user downloads your file 20 times it will only count one, this ensures that no one is hiring a person to download a file over and over, to make money.

It was more of a motivation for users to upload, but definitely can be taken the wrong way. As for your second comment, we are currently looking at our rates and what we get from other countries and our rates will be changed very soon, It will be the same rates for every country, I find it unfair to penalize others for where they live, and will make the same rate for all countries! The rates will be 20-25$ It is hard to offer so much, as there are server costs and other stuff that comes into play. And I can assure you we are working hard to offer you guys other great things! More to be announced soon! We are working very hard to please everyone!

I have seen your new rates etc and I have to say that now you really do have an attractive offer. My current filehost is having issues with corrupted files (a LOT of them !) amongst other problems, and I am going to do some thinking about the future today.
One thing that really is 'make or break' is ftp upload - seriously I think more people ('pro' uploaders anyway') use that method than any other. I did see in an earlier post that you where working on it - any news ?
On the subject of uploading - do you allow remote upload from SD to SD ? That is to say to be able to effectively copy a file from someone's SD account to one's own SD account instantly ? That was something we fought long and hard to get rid of at FSN lol.

Sorry i assumed your site contain flash objects as its taking much time to load when compared to others. You can remove all unwanted graphics to optimize for performance which is more important than appearance.

Just to let you know I tried your service and there are a few things you might want to take a look at.

1) When I registered I only got 24 hours premium, rather than the 3 days as advertised (used the code in the first post of this thread)

2) When uploading from my pc to your servers via web upload using the chrome browser, the progress bar / upload speed / time remaining indicators froze at 3%. The only way I could tell the upload was still in progress was that I could see the data passing through my router.
When the upload completed I got the error message "ERROR: Max filesize limit exceeded! Filesize limit: 200 Mb", but I am registered and should be able to upload files up to 300Mb, and in fact since I am premium for 24 hours I should be able to upload files up to 600Mb.

3) I tried uploading via remote upload from my FSN account and though the transfers where slow (could be fsn's servers) they did complete and did appear in the file manager. Interestingly I found that when using remote upload your max filesize restriction didn't kick in - I was able to successfully upload files in the 500-600Mb range with no errors.

4) When an upload completes a page comes up with the file name / file size and links for the file - the font colour for the file name is set to be the same colour as the background (ffffff), making it invisible unless you highlight it.

FTP upload should be released in the next few days. So make sure to lookout for it. And no we do not allow members to instantly take files from other ShareDragon Users.

1) Hmm Ill take a look into this and will grant your account an extra two days premium.

2) That is weird, Ive never had that problem and never had problems with limits, I will venture further to see what I can find on this and hopefully get it fixed.

May you please tell me what restrictions you do not like? In my opinion there aren't very many.

Hi mate - forgot to mention that the site is not sitting quite right on the monitor - the nav bar is shifted to the right and runs off the page, and the right panel is also shifted right, but not as much - see screen capture below ...



The cap is from firefox (latest) - it is better in chrome, but still shifted to the right a bit. Screen resolution at my end is 1024x768.

Not complaining you understand - just trying to be of some small help
