More and more files corrupted - these are not new uploads and have been downloaded successfully (some many times). This is not an 'upload problem' - it is a (or some) failing server(s)/Drive(s).
Come on FSN - enough is enough. Nevermind playsonic - how about fixing the servers ?

 

Its time to replace server hard disks, usually hard disks can only guarantee reliable operation for up to 3 years. Since servers are working 24 hrs a day this period may even reduce to 1 - 2 years.

 

out of 8747 uploaded files got only 2 as corrupted not big issue from my end

It's not a big issue for you YET. This is exactly how it started for me - just an odd file here and there. Believe me mate that no one is immune to server/drive failure (except perhape the black knight, who as we know, is invincible )

 

In two days I had like more than 100 files deleted for the corruption reason...
I never heard of this thing before when I worked with other filehost (won't say the name) but is kinda weird because it can't be 100 files in 2 days.
In my opinion this is bad and is bad only from the FS part!
Bad hardware (I dunno replace those), Bad Maintenance or I dunno but nobody can't work in this way. To post let's say 200 releases in 2 days and 100 are deleted for the corruption reason and 50 for the DMCA

I dunno how anyone do the maths but from my side everytime I think about this I just end up saying: This can't be true!

 

Holy crap, FileSonic is sky rocketing in traffic like crazy.

Please save these promo money and give us a more stable serve.

I usually upload 5 - 10 file per day. yesterday 7 file corrupted and today 5 file corrupted.
I really don't want to wasting time on the re-upload and re-posting.

If these keep happen again and again than I will go back to PPD and mirror my file to other file hosting serves.
So even filesonic line is dead, people still can download it from other file hosting.

 

I have 4 pending files. They're RUs from file serve. Is there something wrong I should know about?

 

i got many corrupted files today too ,there was not such a problem 3-4 weeks ago.

 

I store 8500 files at Filesonic.
8500 files (100 MB parts) are distributed in ~500 RAR-Archives.

Now I have ~250 deleted (corrupted) parts, nicely distributed over 150 of 500 archives.
With this behaviour Filesonic is useless, because innumerable archives thereby are killed.

Who wants to repair all these archives every day?
No one has so much time to do it.

The deleting of corrupted files started at 13.04.2011, but only some files.
Massive deleting started at 18.04.2011 and then every day 30-50 files.

My members very angry and they don't want buy premium account anymore, they request new host.
Although FS still is the best, but uploader maybe will find new host as mirror, and will replace filesonic in future before File sonic become to bad alike Hotfile.
BTW, I still loving File sonic at this time!

 

Wow, this corruption thing has hurt me where it hurts the most..

It deleted the files that make large amounts of money for me daily, and not only that - It deleted it also from the backup folder and I did not have it backed up on my computer.
Please give up on promos and work on server stability!

Thanks filesonic for identifying corrupted files without having to manually download them. I think the corruption problem is occurring from a particular server / hard disk etc if you can identify these & replace them then such problems can be easily avoided as these corruption problems were not there 1 month back.

 

If it is so, why is Filesonic "lying" with official lame answers to this problem?
This is not OK!
This was the official answer to my ticket: "It means that the files which you have uploaded cannot be downloaded properly by users, so you need to re-upload the file. Corruption = can't download". *tsss*
This answer brings nothing. I knew it before, that the files cannot be downloaded anymore.

Then it's better to say SORRY MEMBERS, we have a big problem with our servers and everything will be fine again at 28.04. or so ...

When do they stop the file deleting??? When are all corrupted files found?
WHO or WHAT corrupted the files and WHY?

Do they not have RAID System, that secures the files?

 

THERE IS LOTS OF FTP SITE ON INTERNET WITH GOOD MOVIE, GAMES,. IS THERE ANY RISK UPLOAD CONTENT BY RU?? I MEAN HACK OR FILESONIC TERMS??

Limit users storage quota and make at least 2 copies in different servers or locations. As re-uploading, re-posting one by one is very difficult job to uploaders also downloaders may doubt the reliability of filesonic if they see such corruption problem occurring again & again and this may affect sales & re-bills.

I think the advanced statistics could be improved by showing the user where there downloads are coming from. This will help users a lot and they can use this to there advantage if one forum was getting more downloads then another. I know of a couple of websites like filesonic that have this feature. These are easyshare and sharecash.
