After you have submitted, you have done all you can do. There is nothing more you can do.

I say, you claim an effective trick to get your site listed in DMOZ.org directory if you applied and hired as their submission editor.

And there is nothing at all wrong with that! It's even OKed through the guidelines of becoming an editor... but it's trickier then just applying and listing your own site. You must also list other sites...adding to the overall that is the ODP.

You can’t make any special efforts to get listed on DMOZ…. After submitting your site, you just have to wait!

DMOZ is a human edited directory and every website gets listed after thorough screening. That is why every takes so much time to get listed (from some days to some months)
There are many people who become editor for this ODP so that they can approve their website. But this trick is not easy as it looks!

So are you telling us that the 3000-6000 sites that get listed each month paid to get in?

No. Before they are clean and doing great job. But now on, they are corrupted. Some and this is very big some editors using dmoz for abuse/personal advantage

What has my age got to do with it? If you are going to make claims like you are, you need to support them with some evidence. As you continue to fail to do so, then you must be making them up (ie you lied)

Freelance sites with completed DMOZ listings positive feedback are not considered proof according to many editors.
A single site with THOUSANDS of deep links that break multiple guidelines are not considered proof.
People saying that they got emails from editors asking for money are not considered proof.
The fact that an editor can be paid to promote sites and be a link developer is well within the guidelines of the site, and there are several editors that in fact do build links for a living (including ODP listings).

What kind of proof would you consider?

DMOZ is hard to get into. I've had no luck so far and I am getting a bit frustrated. I have looked into volunteering but that isn't easy either.....DMOZ might be overrated perhaps?

I think DMOZ listing is not as valuable for SEO as it was a few years ago. So why bother?

DMOZ is still a great directory to get in. Same as Yahoo. Will it always be important? I'm not sure. Who knows, maybe Google will place a higher importance on non-directory links in the future. Just a therory.....I don't have any proof to support that thought. We submitted to DMOZ last year (before updating our site) and never heard back. Still waitin....
