Hi everybody,
I launched my blog IncrediBlogger - Learn to become an Incredible Blogger! just 2 weeks ago and am doing pretty good. Within 2 weeks I have got good alexa ranking and a steady flow of visitors as well.

I want help from this great community to review my blog as a whole considering each and every aspect such as Design, Usability, Content, Navigation, Page loading time, etc.

Overall, well done site, i like the template also there is scope for improvement but site takes long time to load, may be something to do with your host?

 

Is it really taking a lot of time to load? Coz for me it is taking around 5 seconds. Please suggest me the areas of improvement so that I can correct myself.

previously I used to blog in a different domain since 2010 March. Its only 2 weeks that I registered this domain and moved all the content here.

Loading time for me was six seconds, which I suppose is quite slow, other than that your site is incrediblogerable

 

Thanks a lot tiddles for your valuable comments. btw how much loading time is considered as fast? please let me know, so that I can find some way out. though it is difficult at the moment since I am on a shared hosting. I have many optimization's for it including xcaching. I plan to use image sprites very soon to reduce page loading speed a lil bit.

 

There is no definitive answer to this as it depends on many different factors, for instance I am in the UK and although I use British Telecom as my ISP I live out the country so my broadband is very slow, always less than 1MB, USA and Eastern Europe and some Asian countries have far superior speeds to the UK in general.

The use of flash images, and big fancy graphics including backgrounds can also slow your load speed considerably, as can some external links.

As you pointed out server loading can also make a big difference, all you can do is optimize what you have and lay off the big graphics.

You should use some HTML Text instead of more Jpg in header it could help you for better On-Optimizaiton

 

Which images can be replaced with text as per your suggestion @jezzz if you could kindly elaborate.
