Something tells me you already know this and your just trying to add to your post count. I mean according to this post you shouldn't need to ask such a simple question

 

Well the best way to get your backlinks for your site would be forum posting and the profile page backlinks. I see that you are using your signature link as your site name, however use your anchor text for the site URL with one of your main keyword, instead of just putting up the URL. Also try to make some genuine and meaningful posts here and be a regular commentator, you dont have to do anything else

 

I would also add the most common and easy to made technique: forum posting.

That's because it is not a recommended practice. There usually crappy, low value links. Plus Google hates it.

Signature links and guest posting on blogs, article marketing - and various other methods. Why focus on link building when your content isn't up to par? Google wants quality content and if you have that, with great links, you'll rank higher. It doesn't matter about how many links you build, its about the quality of them.

Sure, write quality content - get links through related websites - get links as a guest writer on blogs - forum signatures, but focus on your content before trying to build links - that way your content can be better/you rank higher.
