the word "ad" above the adsense ad (google friendly?)

    does anyone know how to get the word "ad" or "advertisement" in small font above a google adsense ad on wordpress? code? i heard this will make your blog more "google" friendly

    I don't think it's against the TOS (but read the TOS anyways).

    Read the TOS dude:

    "AdSense code may not be altered, nor may the standard behaviour, targeting or delivery of ads be manipulated in any way that is not explicitly permitted by Google."

    Do so at your peril.

    You can put "ads" above your adsense block, but why would you do it? Just to suck adsense? Doesn't make a difference, you don't need anything above ads.

    I don't believe search engine bots see JavaScript, and since an AdSense advertisement block is JavaScript, I doubt they see the advertisement at all. Putting the word "ad" on top would look more out of place for a search engine.
