What is link wheeling in the aspect of SEO. Its an creation of free blogs and posting related to our business with keyword linking to the main site. Is it useful to create all free blogs, google will not index all those blogs na....? and its also not at all a quality back link. Then is it gud to prefer LINK WHEELING
PROCESS OF LINK WHEELING A link wheel is the process of creating 12 or so (or sometimes up to 116) new blogs/microsites on a particular topic. On each of those sites, you write 200 words of unique content, and include 1 link to your targeted site, and 1 link to one of your other blogs/microsites. EFFECTIVENESS OF LINK WHEELING Now the trick here, and why link wheels are so effective is the new blogs and microsites we create are on sites like Hubpages.com, Wordpress.com, Blogger.com, which are established, PR6, PR7, PR8 sites, and the subsequent blogs benefit from these attributes. Also, by including a single link to each of our new sites, we are passing the value from one site to another, building up the value of each of our links. And since each of the links are only one-way, that is, site 1 links to site 5, but site 5 links to site 2, the link juice is passed to all of the sites, and not diminished by reciprocal linking (linking site 1 to 2, and 2 to 1). So what we have is a network of up to 116 microblogs with 200 words of content related to our niche, with links all pointing back to our targeted site, making our targeted site look like an authoritythe advantage in this scheme is that you get a lot of one-way links from a lot of different websites relatively quickly which also eases up crawlability for search engines spiders. The disadvantage is that if Google (or Yahoo or Bing) catches on to your trick, they will penalize your website. Because the people that advertise a link wheel usually aren't clever enough to manage one properly, anyone who joins a wheel will get burned at some point.
These days i never point a conventional link wheel directly to my money site...what I do is point it to another web 2.0 or EZA site which then points to my money site. That way, there's less chance of my money site being penalized.
Creating a link wheel is a very effective SEO strategy that can be used by anyone to improve the rankings of their sites. Essentially, a link wheel leverages the power of highly ranked Web 2.0 sites to build targeted backlinks back to your sites. This works because certain Web 2.0 properties like Hubpages, Squidoo, WordPress, and others allow you to publish your own content on these sites AND allow you to add your own backlinks to this content as well. Google loves these sites and often times your posted content can rank very well on their own. Getting links to your own site from 5-10 of these types of sites is very powerful, and forms the basis of the link wheel strategy.
Link Wheel is a new technique and its better in a way that those pages like blogs or hub pages you use to form link for you site having links of these pages too. So its a collection of links pointing you site.
I agree with you. I usually prefer pointing to a web 2.0 property like .blogspot then from it i point to my main site. If you have another site (not a web 2.0 property) the better it is. Link building could be tough at the begining but once you get used to it it becomes so easy.
