    Very Generic answer is to submit to US directories and US Search engines. Coming to very new tactic is to submitting to local classified ads websites just like introducing our self into yellow pages websites.

    For additional on everybodys suggestions, in building links, you must check the sites that you are submitting to, if the server of those websites are based also in US. Try Whois tool.

    I agree. You should tell what type of your site and why you need US traffic. If not you just get a very generic advice, not details. After get the generic answer, you wil ask more and more without right solution.
