I don't see you as a very principled 'libertarian'. You believe in individual rights, yet you commented that welfare was important...or (more or less) the poor would bring crime to your door step if didn't exist. You made it an either/or arguement (or atleast that's how it appeared since I questioned you many times about that statement but you didn't answer). Your view looked like: Either you give them welfare or you get crime. A throrough libertarian will take a stance that individual rights supercedes social programs, and that only a few things be done by the government...one being the military according to a limited level of reason. Your more of a modern liberal...with libertarian-leanings. I think you adopt libertarian thoughts because that essentially where modern liberalism came from....the old conservative vs libertarian arguement was the essence of America...but I'd say modern liberalism is the shit-end of the arguement. I'd rather have REAL libertarians and conservatives argue over how our government should be. JMO.
