i think more than 50 % people think adwords helps to seo efforts. its paid but still important for quick results.
I don't know how many people think PPC helps with SEO. In discussions, I somehow doubt ezoneweb's 50% figure. But yes, I believe doing PPC can definitely help in refining and improving your SEO efforts.
I don't beleive it has a direct effect on organic search, however including PPC allows you to become instantly searchable on keywords that are impossible to drive traffic organically.
Note that I did not say that PPC directly influences SEO rankings. I'm not sure if that's what the OP was thinking of. What I'm saying is that what your learn by doing PPC can help with your SEO efforts.
I am not sure about how people think about this question, but according to my experience I can say that yes these two helps each other and one should use both these services if one has got some money in his/her pocket for advertising.
Not sure but it would be easy to test. Create two simple exact match domain sites. Do the same backlinking for each and use adwords for only one. If one ranks higher then you have your answer.
Man, this is a tough one, I really have no idea if it actually DOES affect SEO efforts, but as far as instant results, yes. adWords can really "Tide-over" a customer, before the magic begins. Ha
i have an poet Someday, We'll Forget The Hurt , The Reason We Cried n Who Caused Us Pain We'll Finally Realize That The Secret Of Being Free Is Not Revenge But Letting Things Unfold In Their Own Way n Own Time After All What Matters Is Not The First But The Last Chapter Of Our Life Which Shows How Well We Ran The Race So SMILE, LAUGH, FORGIVE BELIEVE n LOVE All Over Again . . . *.*
I believe it helps but you can not and should not solely depend on it. Until your site is search-able and has other means to draw in traffic it can really help.
Here's one way PPC can help with SEO. You create a campaign, say for "plastic widget". As you gather and analyze data, you notice that "round plastic widget" is searched much more often than the square or triangular variety. You figure you could rank better organically if you SEO on that keyword since your competitors don't seem to do this as much. You could also re-organize your site to take advantage of the other keywords too, have a triangular plastic widget page. Your campaign, if you test, also tells you over time that a certain phrase in the ad gets a lot more clicks and also a high conversion. You decide to change your page title and description tags to use that phrase. This may not improve your organic rankings but it may get more free clicks and since you know it converts well, something only an Adwords campaign can tell you, you just increased your profits. There's also a lot of other data a campaign can tell you that can help you not only with SEO but making business decisions. You may advertise on radio or newspapers. Again, using the knowledge gained from the campaign, this may boost advertising in other medium. You may decide that selling square wooden widgets might be profitable. Unlike the above post, I don't believe that PPC should be stopped even when doing well on the SEO side. The two are complimentary and part of a long term marketing strategy.
Hi PPC-Coach, I agree with the fact that PPC will not help anybody in achieving significant ranking without any seo effort, however, what I would like to suggest everybody is that you can use PPC to determine the most effective and profitable keywords to target in your seo efforts. Also, PPC is a good method to increase traffic and conversions. Initially, I would advise everyone to go with both the routes if your budget allows. Regards, Loren Holland
