Hmmmm. Getting better. Maybe the W and L can be of the same height, and the grey colour can be blacker...?
And also, maybe a glossy feel all over.

I like the idea of the world map in front of the wording. Can you try that with some different font?

Looks neat and clean. But the drops are flying here. maybe LEAKING would be a more apt and remember-able theme for the name...

Regarding font and wording, I liked Logos4all's word format best. It looks professional. If you guys can see what i like in it..? (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2153923&p=16106482#post16106482)

Super super super. WOW. Yes. The globe brings in the aspect of a global news site and the leaking dripping water looks like the Y can contain it. So, it gives some sense of how I want the site to be known..... And the emboss effect is looking real good on the site.

All you guys are making the decision even more difficult for me... Which will i choose? Damn.... I'll wait for 14 more hours and allow the contest to end in the prescribed 48 hrs....

I'll get some other opinion on which to choose. Please understand that i can only take one, but of course the top performers will always be in my list of GO-TO-For-LOGO people....

I meant like this below - P.S: I used your own images and did cut and paste. So it looks bad with the overlap... Can you do it better? Versions with Y both above and behind the W?

Thank you for Your feedback. Here, I have revised my design. Since you say "the wording lacks something" and you like wordmark type, this come up to my mind. I add something like a water drop (related to the word "leaky") and I combine the letter "L" and "Y" so it's seems like a container. So... the water drop and break through the leaky container . Check out this:
