Please Review My Free Forum Host

    Hi all,

Just recently i launched a free forum host, forums.do. It's a totally unique system that i've spent hours designing, and refining. There's still lots of work to do, but i'm getting there :)

It's currently in open beta stages, so there's a few bits and pieces here and there that are not yet finished. No need to comment on them (i.e. the logo system is not complete yet).

So far i've noticed people commonly create a forum, and dump it straight away. So if anyone feels like creating a forum just to test it out, that'd be great, please give me your feedback. Let me know where i can improve, and make things simpler for the user.

Please check it out: forums.do - Free Forum Hosting

I realize i have a long road ahead of me, however i'm confident i can get this service off the ground, i'm constantly making changes, and have many ideas in the process to make things easier for the user.

If you notice some downtime or registrations are paused for a bit, it's because the site will be migrating to a dedicated server within the next few days (when i get time), so please just be patient, it will just be DNS propagation.

Please post your feedback, be as brutal as you like :p

    Thanks,
    Rhett.

True, the one thing i was hoping would be ok was the design. I was aiming for a very simple, straight to the point process.

Let's see what other people think.

    Thanks for your reply :),
    Rhett.

I like the color, but seems its front page is too wide, there are still 20% people in the world are using the screen smaller than 1024*768

I have used safari 5.0.5 and the logo should be moved to top a little. And the footer is having a varied color. If it has the same color as the body background then it will be nice. The green is really pleasant for my eyes :)

Thanks for the kind words all! :D
Thanks for bringing this to my attention a++, i'll check it out and fix it up soon. :)

I'll consider trying to make it viewable to lower resolutions, the template was designed for a 1280X1024 or higher res, but i guess there is still a large portion of the population using lower resolutions still.

:) Still willing to hear more feedback on both the site and service. Anything at all.

Currently my internet is down so i have not been able to do any work on the site, or finishing of tutorials etc unfortunately - But the site is in it's beta stages at the moment anyway.

    Cheers,
    Rhett.
