I'm planning to launch website which will make sales of over $20000 in a few months. I know for a fact that Paypal is the easiest merchant service available. But i have seen people making complaints about their accounts being cancelled even though they are legitimate and fully verified. So i'm kinda scared to go ahead with Paypal because i don't want to loose $20000. My business will be 100% legitimate and Paypal account will be verified. But with the strange complaints that keeps pouring in,im confused! Any thoughts guys?
and what about all those threads 'PayPal limited my account, PayPal sucks my money, PayPal is scam' etc etc @neham If you have other options (AlertPay, MoneyBookers or Google Checkout) give them a try.
If you provide them all genuine details then no need to worry at all IMO. Play safe and Stay safe DON.
Paypal are a rip off, My account was legit, all i did was sell on ebay, everything i sold was genuine etc, i had £3000 in my account and paypal decided to limit my account for no reason and guess what........ they held the money for 180 days and there was nothing i could do about it........... or so they thought, what i did was i refunded all my customers and explained to them what had happened and they were all very helpful and i agreed with them that they pay by Google Checkout or Moneybookers instead which they were happy to help. If you have alot of money in your paypal account i wouldn't trust them as far as i could throw them, Go to paypalsucks.com and you'll see for yourself, im not the only one who has had the misfortune of dealing with paypal. I recommend you use Google Checkout Or Moneybookers, they both wont limit your account for nothing and with Google checkout the money goes into your bank account instead of a ''Google Checkout'' account type of thing, so when someone pays by google checkout the money doesnt go to your google checkout account it goes to your bank account which is a million times more convenient than paypal, Paypal have the power to ruin lives for people who have alot of money in there paypal account, as i said visit paypalsucks.com and see for yourself, In my opinion paypal are a scam, MY ADVICE STAY WELL CLEAR
PayPal is great. I have used them for years without any issues, as long as you practice good ethics in your business, verify your account, and keep your information up to date you should have no issues.
Also...you may think about using them for purchases as well. If you spend $5000/yr (I believe) you are a preferred customer, therefore you receive better support and special offers.
