Congratulations on your promotion, lmocr. You reported my post for innapropriate content and you don't report a listing like that in DMOZ ? I'll be of assistance too. I've seen explicit listings and deeplinks in Craigslist and DMOZ lists them ?
Where did that quote come from? Actually the amended version adds zero to what was there before. AFAIK it was a request for an explanation on why a site was deeplinked and is explainable under current policies without any difficulty, not a request for RZ to create a new policy. Without a proper explanation of deeplinking policies, relating them to the site in question, how on earth are people supposed to know whether they are wasting time reporting stuff that is OK. RZ wants people's help in reporting bad listings but won't explain how they can identify stuff to report. Great
I still don't get your point. It appears to be classified ads that includes personals. Real estate, cars, etc. is not the sort of place you would expect to find kids as active members nor the sort of place pedophiles might find productive. Why is that site any more dangerous than this one. Or the internal DMOZ forum. Or any forum. Real Estate - the only real estate links to craigslist I can see on DMOZ are RSS feeds and as I said there was a push at one time to categorise RSS feeds where you could find them. Explicit content - OK I checked and yes, behind the warning are pictures of male appendages. But the warning tells you that. I don't see how that has anything to do with pedophiles. http://newyork.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use.html see section 7. You agree not to post, email, or otherwise make available Content: a) that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, or is harmful to minors in any way; b) that is pornographic or depicts a human being engaged in actual sexual conduct including but not limited to (i) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex, or (ii) bestiality, or (iii) masturbation, or (iv) sadistic or masochistic abuse, or (v) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person; If you spot material that breaches that then report it.
It's Craigslist - it's like littlenickel.com only free. Why would I report a classified listing service? It's offering a Regional service, it's listed in a Regional category. Lot's of people (normal people) use it to advertise and buy things.
And that compares to reporting someone for an inappropriate post? Dude - you need to get a better comparison. I don't care what religion/nationality you are - if you (meaning anyone) post inappropriately or off topic, I'll report it.
