New Spotify update is limiting free users.

    WTF Spotify?

    This is a quote from their website:
    If you're using Spotify almost daily as I am then what do you have
    to say about this? Is is a smart move to limit each track to only 5 plays?

    For me it just sounds like a stupid idea.
    Sure, they need to make money somehow, but I bet that a lot of people
    will move to Spotify's competitors instead.

    If its that big a deal upgrade to a paid service... after all you are getting something for nothing right now.

    Yeh, but that's the thing that mad Spotify unique, having a free account where you could listen to music.
    Now when that is lmost gone there is nothing stopping people from using other similar programs.
    And they will probably make less from advertising as well.

    Royalties still need to be paid to the artists. The big artists are fine but don't the smaller, independant artists deserve to be paid?
