I have 2 domain names. First is bestwebdesignservices.net and the other one is thebestwebdesign.org Now, I want to set up a website, which is already optimised for two keywords - "best web design" and "web design services". Both these two keywords have over 12k exact searches per month (each of them). But "best web design services" keyword has under 100 exact searches per month. On the other hand, "the best web design" keyword, from the second domain name, has around 900 exact searches per month. Estibot appraised the first domain around 160 $, while the second domain was appraised for around 1900 $. Now, please tell me what to do. Which domain is the best to develop on it, taking into account those keywords? Or should I choose a .com, but way longer such as thebestwebdesignservices.com ? (appraised at 0 $ by the same Estibot)
It has better exact keyword searches, but the other domain has included 2 keywords instead of one...and to sell web design services from a .org domain might be tricky...
I was thinking that maybe a dot org domain wouldn't be the best choice for a web design studio website. And one more thing...wouldn't "the" be hard to remember for users? I mean, they easily can forget it and type only bestwebdesign.org, instead thebestwebdesign.org That's why I'm afraid of...
On the other hand, bestwebdesignservices.net is not easier to remember, either, it's longer... In percentages, can you tell me your preferances for each of those 3 domains? It will help me a lot to make an idea... Thks.
bestwebdesignservices.net would be my choice out of the two. I know .org's have no restrictions now. However, in the beginning they were intended for a non-profit. So for this reason I would avoid them. Web savvy people will question why you have a .org and put together you're going after SEO and not a legitimate company. If you want your company to be more than a website and to have a brand presence, I would suggest not worrying about the keywords so much. Take for example, one fast buffalo onefastbuffalo.com. Their name is more important than a keyword. Over time your work will build an audience. Does "the best web design" fit your company? Can you back that up with a strong portfolio?
If you are starting a real business, you might as well invest in an aged, quality, high-keyword domain my friend. Godaddy auctions is good for that
You are posting not yet registered domain names on public forum meant for domineers. With the high traffic the names would've been registered in the first 30 mins of posting it.The fact it hasn't happened by now means you have to pick between two not so good names. So pick one (i like the .net one) and register it before i do.
Hello, I would personally go with the .net address. As has been indicated, even though things have changed as far as the rules regarding .org addresses, I think many times, they are associated with non-profits and other such organizations. Besides, your .net address is keyword optimized, which will help you rank in the search engines. I know many people act like keywords don't matter in domain names anymore, but I have heard from more than one successful marketer that it does. People have actually split tested traffic patterns with keyword optimized vs. non-keyword optimized domains. The best of luck to you whatever domain name you end up going with
Sorry then, I just wanted to help you.I have watched it happen here before so just assumed you are doing the same mistake. the .net one is easy to ear and have common keywords so I would suggest making it your primary name and then forwarding traffic from the other domain to it.Hope it helped.
The problem is that i don't know what traffic can have thebestwebdesign.org, as an undeveloped domain... Maybe I should sell it instead, what do you think?
I prefer bestwebdesignservices.net, the is bad for domain name. You remember about facebook.com, before founder of nepster come, facebook using thefacebook.com.
