"The Afghanistan" wasnt destroyed... check Google Earth, it's still there. Just doesnt happen to have a national government named the Taliban since they made the error of getting flippant when told to turn over a psycho Saudi cleric who thought God wanted him to have planes full of people flown into buildings full of people. The Taliban unwisely chose that moment to get cute and tell the President that Osama was their "guest" and one doesn't do that with a guest. How'd that work out for 'em?

I'm sure the Afghans due to get maimed or executed in the stadium on the next round were real sad to see those ragheaded morons getting picked off too... or were the photos and films of executions the Taliban did at the stadium "fake" too?

    Taliban Execution.jpg

Apparently everything that isn't flattering to your bridge-to-the-past religion is "faked". Right?

How is this a "fake videos", nothing fake about it, it's reality and the video that you see are only a small part of what is really happening out there, if they are even reported.

I said that? Where have I said that? It's a weak law and it puts fear into people which only benefit those that are in submission to the people in control.

LOL! time to get out of the cave then.

Sounds like Islam from 1400 years ago to present.

Then you're fucked as your mental level is obviously in sub-level standard.

Well they are corrupt and do sinful things, they just cannot be challenge or death and hardship lays among those who question thee.

It's like playing Poker, you win some, you lose some system.

Well duh! Warlockâ„¢ Within a day in that system one is put to death because a finger was pointed at him/her. Who needs any kind of lawyer at that point.

Yeah, yeah, money is evil and guns pointed at someones head to get his vote is not.

Yes electing some one cost lots of money because we don't want to elect some old guy with long beard and has 9 wives and most are under 18 years old. In another words, the other guy may not be right for us as a leader so we use lots of money to let the word out to make sure he/she is not elected. Unlike your system where it decides on how much fear he can put into people, here we call them Republicans or Libertarians.

No hands, no more stealing what a brilliant idea, did this idea came from 1400 years ago? I bet it still works, I mean it is really hard to steal without hands. Did Allah came out with that idea?

    ...Because of this guy right?

Heard it all before. Let me know when camel shit and dust is worth something and i'll start worrying. Until then islam will stand for nothing but poverty and the abuse of women and children, hardly a basis for a super power.

Even if they tried to be "united" it would last until they realise that half are suni and half a shia, then they will do what they always do, start attacking each other with farming tools and chopping heads off. Everything about islam makes incompatible with success, power and the 21st century.

OMG ROFL, i skiped to watch the video instead of your replies because they were lengthy. This guy is completely retarded. He critisises the democracy saying that it wastes money in election and that too after 5 years as if muslim countries are so wealthy and satisfied that the money for election after 5 years is going to cost them. This can mean two things. Either this guy really likes sharia laws, in that case he is retarded or he knows how much terror sharia laws do but he tries to portray mthem in good light here.

Wow. Nice Al Queda promotional video! It demonstrated nicely the point the guy in the Memri video was making about "packaging defeat as victory". I especially appreciated the epilogue on the last frame which promoted violence against Muslims who do not follow the Sunnah. By the time you lose all the educated western Muslims who laugh at such a stupid, uneducated, backward looking video, and all the Shia, against whom the video promotes violence, your united Muslims aren't looking so united, are they. I think this video may be a more accurate representation.

Looks like the admin's struck the Al Queda promo clip. Good riddance.

In other news, Al Queda's #2 came out urging the Libyan rebels, who are barely hanging on with NATO's help, to turn on NATO as well as Qadhafi. The followers of such advice would have to be a bit like this thread's OP, thinking 0% odds of survival and victory are better than the 50% chance they have now. From Al Queda's standpoint, it makes perfect sense. The more places there are in the world like Somalia, the better shot they have at surviving.

I'm glad to see my Muslim brothers in Egypt have told downloadsun, Al Queda, IsraeI, and their ilk where to shove the completely screwed up ideas they try and call Islam.

lol @ United States of Islam

This will happen only in your fantasies. Do you really think that the rulers of all the Muslim countries will simply agree to step down like this?
Do you really think that the people of these countries (which have diverse cultures, people, etc) will want to be ruled by people that aren't like them? This would be the equivalent of the French running the show in Australia.

And you truly think there will be unity? Remember, every religion, even Islam, has many divisions and branches that interpret things very differently. Sunnis will start fighting Shiites and vice versa. Even if say the Shiites get completely eliminated (not possible... but just an example), then the Sunnis will start bickering as to who are the "true" and the "best" Muslims among them. This will lead to a perpetual religious war.

While democracy is not perfect, far from it, a theocratic rule will be worse. There will still be corruption and fighting for power.

As for the Afghanis "loving" the Taliban... hmm.... I have spoken to quite a few of them and they hate the Taliban. I really don't think that any would want to be ruled by a group which would throw the country back to the dark ages, banning the wearing of Western suits, banning music, banning laughing in public, requiring women to wear burkas (and treating them like crap), etc. The Taliban are actually hypocrits, with many of them visiting brothels, gambling, dealing in drugs, illegal money laundering, etc. All while claiming that they are the only true Muslims.

Like you have asked the Afghan people, LOL. Hey, I live in America, and I have asked the Mexican people(because they are so close), and they say they LOVE the drug cartels!

I don't think you could put together a statement so obviously false. You could start by asking the Pakistani people who also hate the Taliban. You may be one of the first Paki who has posted here claiming otherwise.

    dear BeirutMarketing,
your posting is good and based on the fact but not all the thing like Taliban.
yes Muslims have very few differences. It can't create any trouble for USI. The foreign agencies are behind the shia suni fights and etc.

If the Taliban are bad? then a British Journalist embraced Islam.
    She announced when she released.

    27-08-2002, 16:19
CHICAGO, August 27 (IslamOnline) - British journalist Yvonne Ridley has announced that she plans to convert to Islam. IslamOnline talked to Ridley about her religious background, her encounters with the Taliban, and her decision to convert to Islam.

Ridley made international headlines last year when she entered Afghanistan and was held captive by the Taliban. She was eventually released and went on to write about her experiences in a book entitled In The Hands of the Taliban published by Robson Books in the U.K.

Ridley told IslamOnline, “I was brought up a Protestant, in the Church of England. I sang in the church choir and was the Sunday school teacher in my village in the north of England.”

Regarding any previous knowledge about Islam, Ridley said she knew “[n]othing more factual than would fill the back of a postage stamp. Of course I’d subscribed to all the myths about women being subjugated and how it was an evil and violent religion full of fanatics.”

However, she said, “I am on the road to conversion. Reports that I have already converted are premature.”

Answering a question on the reasons behind her conversion, Ridley said, “I made a promise to a Taliban cleric that I would study Islam - if I was released. He had just asked me if I wanted to convert and I was terrified to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’ because either response could have drawn accusations that I was fickle or insulting and therefore be stoned.”

“The real inspiration has been meeting and getting to know all the sisters. Without exception I have found them to be highly intelligent, opinionated, vocal, motivated, switched on to international and political affairs and be highly supportive,” Ridley continued.

“Of course this blows the myth that Muslim women are shy, retiring, timid creatures who are rarely seen and heard.”

Ridley also talked about her days as a Taliban captive. “I was terrified. Not only had I been captured by the most brutal, evil regime in the world (President Bush’s words, not mine) but they hated women as well.

“I never thought I would see the sun set that first day. There were several other times when I thought I would be flogged or executed. There was one occasion when I lost my temper and spat and swore at my captors while being held in Kabul Prison. I thought that might provoke a hostile reaction but they looked hurt and told me I was their “guest” and their “sister”.

“After several days of interrogation at the Jalalabad Intelligence HQ, I was told that they believed I was an American spy and that was quite unnerving.

“They also gave me a wedding dress before a cleric asked me if I wanted to convert to Islam and that was scary. All I can say is that some man in Afghanistan has had a pretty lucky escape.

“On the whole, they treated me with great courtesy and respect despite my adverse reaction to being locked up.

“I had entered their country illegally without a passport and visa so, yes, I was totally in the wrong and could easily have been charged and put on trial. My treatment by the most brutal, evil regime in the world, is a total contrast to the treatment of those men being held in Camp X-Ray.”

Ridley said she met some Afghan women during her detainment. “The only women I met while I was in captivity were six Christian charity workers, three female prison officers and two Afghan women who were locked up for trying to sell a carpet to strange men.

“Apart from the Christians, two Americans, three Germans and an Australian, none of the others spoke in English so I never really got a chance to communicate with any native women.

“However, the prison governor, a fearsome-looking man, used to refer to his wife as ‘the boss’.”

Responding to a question on what she would tell her Taliban captors if she were to meet them again, Ridley said that she had already met them.

“I took my daughter Daisy, aged nine, on a holiday to Afghanistan in May and we traveled all over. We walked in to an eating place four hours drive from Kabul and there I saw some Taliban and Al-Qaeda people.

“I recognized three of my captors and was horrified. However, one came over and talked to my translator and asked what I was doing returning to Afghanistan. He asked if I recognized anyone and I said only if they cared to be recognized, otherwise it was none of my business.

“We were all nervous as he walked away and then he returned some minutes later and said: “We liked what you said about us when you returned to London. Thank you for telling the truth.”

“I nodded nervously and couldn’t wait to leave, but I was later told that my safety is assured if I happen to bump into them again.

“The person I would really like to sit down and talk to is Mullah Omar, the Taliban’s one-eyed spiritual leader who ordered my release on humanitarian grounds. I would want to know why they treated their women so badly.

Comparing women’s rights in the Qur’an and in western society, Ridley said, “The first thing I scrutinized when I read the Qur’an was property and divorce laws. I was amazed. I thought it could have been written by a Hollywood divorce lawyer. In fact, that’s probably from where they got their inspiration.

“I was also pleased to see that women are equal with regards to education and spirituality, but the Qur’an does acknowledge we have the extra burdens of childbirth, breast-feeding and periods. I like to think we are the deluxe model of the human form since we have so many additional functions.”

Regarding her future conversion to Islam, and how her family has coped with it, Ridley said, “Initially my family was shocked. You’d think I’d applied to become the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.”

“September 11 was the best and worst thing that happened to Islam,” Ridley said.

“I know that the confidence of many brothers and sisters has been shattered, but be proud of who you are and what you stand for,” she said to Muslims.

“Do not be browbeaten into diluting your beliefs in the hope of ingratiating yourself with those in power. Beware of false prophets, especially those who hang round the gates of power pretending to espouse views on your behalf that they say are in your interest.

“The Christians have a good saying: “The nearer the pulpit, the bigger the sinner!” The wonderful thing about Islam is you have a direct link with God. You don’t need a conduit or a middle person. Peace and love to all.”
