Scammed by fancymouj I sent him $250 via PayPal for advertising for this site then he vanished! http://www.unama-afg.org/ He took the money, then stopped responding to emails, and now he was recently banned from DP for some reason. Avoid this scam artist. He's all over the web!! DP User Name: fancymouj His Email hemupatelkartik@gmail.com He claimed ownership of these sites http://www.unama-afg.org/ http://www.vespacious.com http://www.aarkadasbul.com www.globalsustainability.org www.alpha-aic.co.cc
Most Indians are scammer, I meant they look promising at the start and then they scam you. I have experience
So who says you to deal with them. Do deal with others and leave Indians. By the way its only people who are scammers and not whole community or country. Change your mentality.
Well, feel sorry for you jaycutler and thanks for posting it and warning us. I am not so amazed on paypal's behavior and has no security for us. Therefore I make sure to include a message and ask the seller for a paypal invoice, everytime I send money to anyone or receive for the links, so that if I have to claim my money back, I have less documents to submit I hope you get your money back and would suggest you to find this guy by every possible means on the net. I have been through the same situation last year and it was for buying a domain, I almost lost $450 but I pinned down that guy and got my money back after 6 months
I opened a dispute, they gave me the "unfortunately there is nothing we can do" speech. Paypal does not provide security for digital media.
I have filed a claim against him with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Hopefully they can track him down.
You seem to know a lot about the Indian Banking System, plus I see you also have an Indian credit card.... I'm 60% positive that you TOO are an Indian.
I mean its simple, if someone joined the forum a week ago and offers you an awesome offer, then they're more than likely 90% of the time up to no good. Use common sense and your brain. Check out the persons profile, see if they made any valid contributions to the forums, have any feedback, GOOGLE their name, see what comes up. Simple
Do you EVEN KNOW what you're writing about and where you're writing? The guy who scammed has been a member since 2008.
Do I know what im writing about when im writing? What does that even mean? Do you know English? I'm just throwing out some general guidelines when buying websites. OP's fault for not having the dude "VERIFY" the websites, a feature that DP has. Its so simple to NOT get scammed. Send half payment up-front, etc. It goes on and on. This Fancymouj had 2 negative feedbacks, OP should have simply NOT boughten from him. A feedback that says "Dishonest Seller"....why would you even do business with someone at that point. I just went and looked through his posts, he writes in broken English and is clearly a little "scammy" looking. Do your research, you wont get scammed. So yes, Refresher,I know what im writing about. Never been scammed in my 6+ years of conducting business online. (knock on wood) Do your research, think logically, simple.
You posted an advice on how not to trade with a 7 day old member, when the ranting was about getting scammed by a senior member with an appreciable reputation going around. ( not the itrade count) I presumed that you didn't read anything that was posted on the 1st page.
