does Maestro DEBIT card works on paypal !

Hello friends,
My bank gave me my debit card and its powered by Maestro.
As far to my information, Maestro is related to Master Card,
but at many places and websites, they do not accept Maestro, where there is an option for Master Card. Why ??
And does PayPal supports linking of Maestro Debit Cards ?
And, some users on DP say that Indian PayPal users can use PayPal balance to purchase, but some say that we cannot use the balance, only withdraw it !
Which one is right ???????

Which bank gave you a "Maestro" Card ?

 

I have never heard of that working. You should try to get a visa debit card instead, that works fine!

i guess no because sbi also same card gives and it not worked with paypal.

indian debit cards not accepted by paypal

 

for me sbi gave. It doesn't work with paypal

 

Only card bearing Visa,Mastercard,Discover logo works with pp.No Maestro or Cirrus Card works.Regards

 

Just create a VCC and forget all your pain
i have just made a payment for my hosting fee with a virtual CC
i am using HDFC bank & i have a master card which is a debit card
first i tried adding it to PayPal but it throws an error, after that i have created a VCC & paid easily through it

Mistro won't work in payment, only visa / mastercard works well.
