Which Anti Spam Solution Do You Guys Use?

    Which Anti Spam Solution Do You Guys Use?

    Recently got lot of spam so i recently installed the spom-o-matic

    is there any other solution ?? as i would prefer using something which stops connecting to other external dbs

    The problem is that the more popular an anti-spam system gets, the more incentive spammers have to get around it. The best anti-spam systems are the ones you develop yourself and only use on your site... Then spammers don't have a good understanding about how it actually works, so it becomes too much effort to figure it out just to spam one site.

    Youve got a very valid point there a custom one would be tough to cheat these bot makes are smart enough to bypass most security now even recaptcha is kind of bieng cheated wch is bad...soo i guess will have to do as u said if that plugin doesn't stop the spam

    I am not a techie so I do not know how it works, but if you are using Wordpress I have recently had good success with Growmap Anti- Spambot plugin, this has reduced my site spam by 95%, Have no idea how it works, but it is far better than SI or Akismet so far.

    If you have Wp give it a try see if it works for you.
