I have a webisite webmound.com. I registered it a few months back and put up a wordpress blog in it, then i changed the site into one that host lot of articles on web development. When i do a google search of my site it will only show pages related to the old wordpress nothing related to the present site. It has been 2 weeks since the change. How long does google usually take to update the search results.
Maybe Google has already indexed you. You just can't see your site on page 1. A fresh website will be indexed by Google in as early as 2 weeks as long as the site will not do any SEO on the start. But if the site is being optimized right from the first day, Google will hold that site from indexing for up to 60 days.
it will take a longer time for google to index ur website...i'm experiencing the same situation, i have 2 websites and over 200 posts...and something happen...2 months ago...until now..my post is still on google even though now my website have only 1 post...the wordpress welcome post...LOL
Are you building links for your keyword? The more links you have, the faster your indexing will become. Digitalpoint has a ton of backlinks, so it updates frequently in search. Why don't you go out and build some links, then report back to us?
You need to setup google webmaster tools and get your sitemap posted while monitoring webmaster tools.
Your website was cached on march 4th April this year.... 10 days back! Ping the search engine and submit the new Sitemap to the Websmater tool. You need to follow some techniques for fast indexing like, - Good quality backlinks - Blog commenting - Social Bookmarking - Social Networking etc. HeatherWhite is also right, may be you are already indexed and just not appearing on the first page!
And then ping them by ping tools, so that search engine can know there have some change in your site.
