how can i earn with my blog site

I have a wordpress blog around 8 months old. I am posting my own articles there. But the traffic is very less and still I am trying to optimise the search engine. at the same time I want to start earning too. how can this be possible?

 

With low traffic you will most likely not be able to earn enything.
Focus on getting more targeted traffic to your site first and then apply for ad-netoworks like AdSense.
If you have a niche specific website you might want to try out PeerFly or ClickBank.

You want to build traffic and get a nice reader base going first. After that, you can start to monetize. You can't make money if you don't have trusted targeted traffic that would buy stuff. Get content, SEO, and backlinks. Try to rank top for some long-tail keywords. You could try PPC, like Adsense, then like Wulkanen said, start Clickbank or promoting affiliate products.

Yes, you need to keep writing more and get more traffic, also try to pick out a niche that pays, education/finance do well.

 

There r many ways to earn money through ur blog but the most which i prefer is adsense,it's the best way to generate some revenues if u have good amount of traffic.

Basically what the majority has said is true, you have to work your way through building massive traffic for your site. Your blog is still young so you shouldn't be too worried about it. Adding Adsense can also help but make sure to read their Terms and Conditions because there were cases wherein Google has banned sites not following their regulations. Furthermore, earning some passive income from Adsense is just an additional revenue because it's not totally offer big income especially in starters. But it doesn't mean you should not try it. I'm just mentioning this, just so you know.

Let me also mention one very rampant method of doing backlinks that can promote traffic for you site is doing Guest Post. You might want to try it.

Its a very effective way in increasing traffic. Because guest bloggers are allowed to express their ideas, you will have different point of views and perspectives which then makes the blog active. You will also gain good relationship with other bloggers. This will attract more visitors to your site because you have already given them a "preview" of the content you can offer.
