Right now I would say the future will be bright. To continue being popular they will have to be innovative and come out with new things, or else it may die slow death like orkut, myspace or hi5.

There are already search options and search results using Google along the bottom. I can see in the future FB creators coming up with their own search feature, rather than linking to Google.

Developers and even users are to expect more improvements from facebook that would likely encourage them to stay with the community.

Well future of Facebook will be only in the hands of Facebook itself and its founders and operators. If facebook keep doing stuff to stop the advertising and marketing of individual sites from Fan Pages, then I guess facebook might come in trouble, one day. Remember no one is the "biggest" or the "ruler" in online media, one small mistake and you will be dragged down very quickly. As of now, it seems Facebook may have a good future, but all the crap of over-coming google is just bulls..t ;)

    may be greater ..
because there are enough who use this application ..
and it was difficult to be eliminated in one's life ..
so, for me facebook is not likely to shift because it is very necessary in terms of marketing, advertising, and positive things
