I started an autoblog about a week before Google decided that they were going to start looking down on unoriginal content. I run a news site for a sports team that aggregates all of the news for the team in one place and have gained quite a following, but I don't have any ads on the site yet. Can I put adsense on the site without ban worries, or would google ban my account for putting adsense on an auto blog?
Is there any way to monetize an autoblog? Or should I just get rid of it? I started it and just left it and forgot about it. Checking back today I have a pretty substantial following and it'd be a shame to keep paying hosting without making anything from it
If you get high traffic then there are many other ads company out there. You can use them. Best would be infolinks.com
If you mean auto = car related then thats not what i mean, What i mean is auto generated contents. I know this from google's webinar that I attended. I asked the question myself and the presenter said "even if the auto generated content is useful to users it is not allowed because you do not own the content" . I am sure you can find the webinar if you search.
I already have an approved adsense account for other websites, was just going to put the ad code on this site and get some revenue. But, I went with infolinks and chikita for now. Awaiting the applications to go through and will put those on and let you know how it goes
All the news sites copy one another. They may license it somehow, but they do copy one another word for word usually. But they must be special or something I guess.
quoted from AdSense blog. I think auto blogging means scraped content So it's not allowed by TOS. http://adsense.blogspot.com/2011/03/dos-and-donts-to-increase-cost-per.html
