I've built a search engine that involves no links and functions great finding the most relevant websites for your web, video, news and blog searches. Since it's not like most other search engines I wonder what would it be called if it isn't. http://refzip.com
sorry, i see that to create search engine you will need to invest big such as google or yahoo but what is the advantage if you have search engine but no ppl use?
Sorry but I don't consider it as a search engine, I try to search by a keyword and I don't satisfied the searches give.
Its pretty unusual. I opened the site several times and the page had a different body each time so I guess they were sites you are promoting. I did a couple of searches. The first turned up no results and the page was blank below the toolbar. The second gave me no results, just an "I feel lucky" jump to a page. What happens if I want something else? If I look at my logs how will I identify the visits your indexing tool makes? Oh, it would be good to get a permalink too. You are relying on users knowing how to break frames.
It's still in the making. I'm curious to what you searched for and what type of browser you used. The sites that show up when the site first loads are random searches. Sties that advertise don't show up until 5 and 10 pages down the line.
my searches were fairly typical, I searched for my name and my domain name. My name is fairly common and I wasn't the first result which is OK but what if someone was actually trying to find me? The second brought up a funny little subdomain but not my main site. Its somewhere between a directory and a search engine. You have a limited numer of sites like a directory but you index the site (I think) like a search engine. You do index the complete site don't you?
it is nice but not consider as search engine but to see the sites image in as slideshow nice experience.
You can't have huge database Like Google, SO better be a follower not a competitor..If make this for free than anybody can do it, if you payed for it then somehow its make a difference.
